Baby Gate For Bottom Of Stairs - Where To Buy?

I have been trying to buy a 'baby gate' for the bottom of the stairs. One of those gates that prevents a child from climbing up the stairs but can be opened by adults. I thought it would be a simple process, but after trips to Big C, Homeworks, Homepro etc... I just get blank looks from the staff and they have no idea where I can get one.

So could anyone here please suggest a place???

Thanks for your help

Its Reported Roy Hodgson Approached To Be England Manager

2012-04-30 06:14:52

I am not a great fan of 'arry, but who would choose Roy Hodgson to lead England to glory in the Euros or world cup. A really nice bloke for sure, but hardly a world beater.

Reminds me of when my hero Brian Clough, again the peoples choice, was passed over by the FA for the England managers role - Roy Hodgson is another safe option I suppose??

Spike Strips To Deter Pigeons

2011-09-07 18:42:40

I have a small problem with pigeons nesting on ledges around my house, but I want to stop it before it gets worse.

Spike strips are very good, not 100 percent but certainly will reduce the problem massively. The trouble is I have looked around Pattaya and cannot find them anywhere - any ideas where to get them???

I would even drive quite a distance to get them. A one off trip to buy a load of spike strips to stop the pigeons trying to settle on my windowsills and ledges would be well worth the drive.

I notice on other threads that fake plastic owls placed around the place will also scare them off - not sure where you buy those eitherPosted Image

Buying Uk Shares From Thailand

2011-08-25 20:01:02

I am British and retired in LOS since 2003. I had planned to just live off the income of my savings. I thought putting money in a bank was hassle and risk free. How times have changed over the last few years.!!!

So I have some funds 'maturing' next month and then again next year and have no confidence the bank will survive when (not IF ) Greece defaults on its debt. Then of course there is Italy, Spain etc...

Anyway, not wishing to get too involved with THAT debate too much, I have decided I will buy some UK shares instead of taking out another bank bond.

I thought this would be easy. I contacted the Internet Share Dealer I used before (Selftrade) and of course as I am an Expat with no UK address, then I cannot use their services. Foolishly I shut down this account some time ago so opening a NEW account with them with no UK address is the issue.

Fair enough.

So does anyone know of a service I could use - trading only - I dont want their advice. I only intend to buy shares in Blue Chip companies at first, Tescos maybe, that sort of company, mainly for the dividend income, but later I may branch out a bit.

Thanks very much for any advice you can give.

(it seems such a long time ago now that we could actually trust that money held in banks would be safe!!!)

I Need A Hip X-Ray

2011-07-27 15:39:56

I had a hip operation outside Thailand earlier this year - in February. I have to send an X-ray to the doctor that performed the operation via e-mail, so he can assess that everything has healed OK and give me the final sign-off.

I contacted Bangkok Pattaya hospital as they provide X-rays on a CD in PDF format that I can send as an email attachment.

The trouble is they wont just take an X-ray and put it on a CD, I have to see their doctor first.

Is this just a BPH rule or can somebody please recommend a hospital in Pattaya that will just take an X-ray for me without wanting me to have unnecessary health checks (Blood Pressure etc...) and doctor consultation.

I have an X-ray from 6 months ago when the operation was carried out, so they can see exactly the area I need X-raying.

Thanks very much for your help.
