The good folks at Wongpanich take care of quite a bit of it each year.

Thanks Heng. Downloaded an interesting powerpoint on their recycling plant. A friend told me that plastic bottles are collected, sold and become fleece jackets?

Wongpanich clearly shows that recycling is profitable, can there be more?

This looks great, thanks a lot for all the replies. It looks as if you have saved me a trip to Bangkok as well. Will look in detail and thanks again.

Moony,

Sounds good, thanks. Where did you get the new passport from?

My intention was to come up to Bangkok, and renew at the Embassy. Don't they take the passport in?

I understand there is a form to complete, take in the passport, and wait 10 days - or pay for the passport to be EMS. Did you do this?

From what you're saying they take the passport in and cancel it electronically - returning it to you?

What was the immigration step? A new stamp? Cost?

Thanks for your help.

Hope you are keeping well,

All the Best,

Bill Z

Try drinking lemon grass - I find it helpful.

I use citronella spray when I have to - safe but uncomfortable.

Garaboom is a healthy herb I get from local Thai herb store - I think it is camphor. The mossies don't like it.

Hope you are keeping well,

All the Best,

I wasn't used to motor-bikes so I bought second-hand. Paid 27k for a Suzuki Best 125 18 months old , and it worked fine. Changed up to Phantom and sold it to a dealer for 12k after 5 years. Bought the bike from a dealer on Tad Mai Road. Tad Mai Road is at the back end of the market, go along towards the PTT garage and the bike shop is on the corner of the cross roads opposite the furniture shop. Or PM me.
