Hi Gent and Ladies
I am arriving in Bangkok on a Thai Airways flight from Manila on Friday afternoon and have a connecting flight (3 hours later) on Thai Airways to Chiang Rai. Question. Would like to check bags in Manila through to Chiang Rai and transit BKK clearing customs at Chiang Rai. If I do this will I be able to buy Alcahol at BKK Duty Free and hand carry it on the domestic flight to Chiang Rai. I have three hours between flights so I have time to clear immigration/customs in BKK, purchase Alcahol at Duty Free, pack it in my luggage and check at domestic counter for flight to Chiang Rai. Would rather not have to clear customs in BKK but will if I have to in order to get a few bottles of scotch. Cheers and thanks in advance if someone can advise.

Extending Non-O On The Last Day
2011-05-02 14:16:22
Hi, I would like to extend a one year non-o visa based on retirement. Current Visa expires on May 3rd. I understand all the requirements except the criminal history record. Been a few years since I did a retirement visa and not familiar with this doc. Just got in the country on May 1st and do not want to waste a trip to Mai Sai on Tuesday if i cannot provide all documents as visa expires on that day. Is this form required or is it discretionary? Will be going with my Thai wife and son for the family effect.
Cheers,

Dual Thai/Us Citizen Travelling To The Us Jan 21St
2011-01-17 16:04:39
Hi Mates
This is a strange one and very much appreciate any advice since time is short.
My 6 year old son was born in Thailand and holds both US and Thai passports. He has never travelled to the USA, but my 86 y/o Mother is ill so I booked tickets for him and I to fly to the US departing on January 21st for a 10 day visit. The R/T tickets are booked and paid for and today while getting some things together I noticed that my sons Thai passport expires on the day we depart BKK, January 21st. Will we be able to depart and return on his US passport and sort out the renewal of his Thai passport when we return in 10 days or is there a problem. Since I just discovered this today we only have Tuesday-Thursday to try and resolve issues if any. Is there a problem or are we good to go? Air tickets are non-refundable and my Mom is not well and would like to see her Grandson for the first time before things get worse. Any advice or help is very much appreciated in advance as I do not have experience travelling abroad with my 6 y/o son. BTW, am married but my Thai wife is not going on the trip with us since this was all done on short notice.
Cheers
