Raising the white flag per usual.. They r born with it in hand
Pathetic comment to be honest, but sadly typical of the average Sun reader mentality. Congratulations to the new French Prime Minister for putting the interests of his countrymen before the interests of American drug barons. Setting an example to the rest of the European poodles who are slavishly getting down on their knees. No wonder America is held in such contempt by the rest of the educated civilised world. "Change we can believe in!" What a laugh! Pass the sick bag.

I do believe he is (like almost ANY other politician), taking care of his own interests first, his country's second. Well, they tend to mix those two sometimes.

While French bashing isn't in order (pretty sure bet not all voters support this move), talk of "American drug barons" and playing spokeman for the "rest of the educated civilized world" isn't much different.

I wonder how would people react if the USA pulled out troops early, leaving its allies to fend on their own.

Again with the "suspected". I'm all for shooting these guys but why does the press always call them "suspected insurgent".

It could be the obvious? I mean accuracy has not been synonymous with NATO

As opposed to not firing at anyone - sure.
Compared with armed conflicts elsewhere and other armies - maybe not so sure?

Not to sound callous, but there will usually be civilian casualties during an armed conflict.
The opposition isn't any better. In fact, they are actually worse.

Yes, if the USA armed forces weren't there in the first place.....etc etc.

The headline itself could be used to conserve energy: National *insert something here* plan requires more thought. Rince repeat. Very green and echo-friendly.

I do not agree with many things that go on in Israel but what they are fantastic at is airport security. Why do we not learn from them. They profile passengers and they have people monitoring body language and it works. What is the historic profile of anyone who has attempted a suicide bombing on an aircraft? Male, Muslim aged 22-34 perhaps? Well that rounds it down nicely, then how about observing the body language gestures in those people as they go through security or at the gate. It does not matter if you really do think you are about to meet God and pick up your 72 virgins, your body will show all the signs concerning its protestation that you are about to blow it up. It is all really easy stuff and the Israeli's do it every day at airports. No shoes off, no belts off, no loss of bottled water.

Err,.,nope.
Belts come off, sometimes shoes as well, liquids are off limits.
Yes, there's the profiling thing, so? Doesn't mean other people do not get searched and questioned. Far from it. Falling into a profile just guarantees being taken off the queue  for a chat with the boys. Ask ANY Arab or someone that looks close enough to to one what it's like, Not too nice toward Thais as well, btw.

Not saying that the way things are in USA airports are ok or not - but the fact that someone gains (financially/politically) from this doesn't mean that there's no threat or that it isn't serious.

Do security agencies and related firms have an interest in making those threats seem bigger than they are - maybe so, does it mean all of it is scaremongering - no way.
