Pickup Delivery Times

3,5 months ago I ordered a new D-Max. I was told a delivery time of 2 months, but it still has not been delivered, and all the dealer can tell is 'we'll call you as soon as it has been delivered to us'. Isuzu HQ is trying to help me, but with an unwilling dealer there is only so much they can do. They did tell me present delivery time for an order placed now is 4-5 months though.

I just called Mazda, and was told a delivery time of 2 months (I'd be looking at BT 50 double cab 2.2 AT).

Anybody have any insight in whether the information I received is true? Would like to avoid a discussion on the cars or alternatives BTW.

Atm Scam

Was just finished withdrawing some money from an ATM, when a guy went to the ATM and called me over. I tried to make a picture of his buddy, but he quickly moved away. The original guy also left quickly when I threatened to photo him. dam_n, had my old phone with me, and with the photo option I'm not familiar, so photo's not ok. Hope on the ATM VDO they have him ok.

The guy was driving a Click, numberplate 717, looked bit Southern European, maybe French?

Buoy Line Kata Beach Gone

Some time ago, after an accident where a speedboat hit a swimmer, there were some discussions here over buoy lines at Kata Beach.

There always used to be one at the Northern end of the beach, marking the reef there, where lots of divers and snorkelers are active. Unfortunately this line has disappeared, probably during the strong winds of 26 December. I checked with the Rescue Center at that side of the beach, and was told they don't have money to replace it.

This means that at the moment boat traffic including jet ski's is going over the reef, which is not good for the reef, but even worse, potentially very dangerous for divers and snorkelers. Especially the latter are often hardly visible. This is IMO an accident waiting to happen.

Adam Kebab Closed

As usual ordered my kebab last friday, but was told: sorry, closed, we're going to Sweden. They could not tell me if and when they would reopen. 2 days ago I saw a moving truck at their place, so I have the impression Adam Kebab had closed indefinitely.
