Three years ago I had two horrendous bouts of kidney stones, and went to see the specialist urologist at the Memorial hospital, Dr.Jessada. He is there only on Thursdays after 1600, and I had to make an appointment. He is vastly experienced, and must be close to retirement. His wife is Head of Medicine at Sattahip's esteemed Sirikit Hospital. He speaks excellent English.
He operated on me two days later, and crushed a stone which was apparently a centimetre in diameter. I can recommend Dr.Jessada unconditionally.

In Topic: Cheap Rabies Shots In Pattaya/Jomtien?

Go to the Government clinic on Soi Buakhaow at the front of the fire-station. I had a tetanus shot and the first of the rabies shots at the Memorial and that cost me 1700 baht which included 700 baht for a doctor I didn't see! In Soi Buakhaow the subsequent shots were 400 baht a time.

Forgive me for repeating an earlier posting on vets in Pattaya (see thread).
I’ve been here 21 years and have seven cats and a dog –all charity cases needing attention at some time or another. I have ‘tried’ all the vets you have mentioned, and all have fallen short in some way – little experience, hit and miss diagnoses, over-medication and so on.
Finally I have settled happily on Khun Net and his assistant Khun Porn at the Siam Country Pet Hospital (tel; 038-413689). Go along Siam Country Club Road from the Sukumvit Road, cross the railway line, and 100 metres on the left after the first 7-11, you’ll find the clinic.
I have no financial interest in the clinic: my only, and overriding concern is the health of my pets, and Khun Net is, frankly, an exceptional vet.

in process of getting crown done with Songram at Pattaya Inter, first time i felt i was not being pushed into the more expensive gold crown, after quick chat he agreed 8k one would be fine. thats cheap, dont need gold at my age, basic one will outlast me.
Same thing cost 5,000 or 6,000 with post at Dr. Warin and... no pain. Please tell me, how can you beat that??
In Topic: Where To Buy A Pulse Rate Watch

You can find these at the Numchai cycle shop on the Sukumwit Road: the shop is on the right hand side just before you reach the footbridge at the traffic lights in Naklua. The pulse-rate monitor has a sensor which fits over the heart on an elastic belt, and relays its measurement to a sophisticated watch which can be attached to a cycle handlebar, training machine or even the wrist. However, these monitors are not cheap, depending on the model you choose of course. Hope this helps.
