Hi
Perhaps someone can give me some insight into this question please...
If one was buying a property in Thailand e.g. house with silent company ownership.
If the funds to purchase were outside Thailand and the owner/seller of the house was outside Thailand resident in the EU.
Does it make any difference if the payment was made outside Thailand e.g. from buyers bank account outside Thailand to sellers bank account outside Thailand in EU?
As opposed to doing the funds transfer within Thailand e.g. from buyers Thai bank account to sellers Thai bank account.
The purchase would be completed by doing a share transfer of thai company share from seller to the buyer.
I was wondering would it be stronger legally to do the funds transfer domestically within Thailand, as a bare minimum from the buyers Thai bank account to the sellers EU bank account, as opposed to doing the whole transaction outside of Thailand banks?
Any does it make any difference?
Thank you in advance for any info on this.

Is Pattaya "Downtown" Closed Off For Pattaya Marathon?
2011-07-16 09:53:32
Does anyone know what is the situation on accessing "down town" Pattaya areas tomorrow with the Pattaya Marathon on?
I have to go down near Big C North Pattaya 2nd road soi 3 soi 2 general area tomorrow morning coming from Soi Khao Talo area which means I have to cross Sukhumvit Road tomorrow morning which is on the route of the marathon.
I am wondering is the downtown area blocked off or what is the situation on getting down there?
What time will the road be clear at as I think the marathon starts at 4.oo am ?
Any info will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
G

How To Teach Student Who Speaks Good English?
2011-01-30 23:23:15
Hi Guys,
Hopefully someone can give me a few ideas or tips on how to approach this task...
I have a Korean adult ESL student (on the side) who speaks good spoken English. He wants to improve his grammar and his ability to write in English. I am having my first session tomorrow evening with him, and we have spoken about what he wants to achieve.
I am a bit lost on how to go about teaching him i.e. "improve grammar and written English".
His spoken English is very good so any ideas on how to approach teaching this level of ESL Student?
All ideas will be gratefully appreciated and thank you in advance for any advice from experienced ESL Teachers who have worked with similar cases. :-)
One idea I have myself... my other half who speaks reasonable spoken English she is taking ESL lessons (level 8 in AUA)so perhaps on idea is to use her text books and the exercises in them for the guy I am to teach.
Any more ideas guys?
Thanks
Gerry

Past Continuous Activities Needed For M2 In Gov School. Help!

Past Continuous Activities needed for teaching M2 in Gov School. Help!
Hi Everyone,
I am hoping some of you experienced teachers can give me some urgent help with ideas or activities for me because tomorrow I got to teach 6 periods to M2 on "Past Continuous" tomorrow in a government school.
To set the scene, I got 6 classes back to back tomorrow of approx 40 - 50 teens in each group. As most of you know it is in a government school meaning the only teaching aid/resource is the White Board and unfortunately there are no facilities on site nor costs covered to do approx 300+ exercise hand outs.
I find with the M2 level a handful of kids got good English right through to those with minimal English and there is a high percent of kids who have no desire to listen to "Farang" preferring to chatter with this classroom friends.
My point is due to these factors the games & activities I find online on ESL websites for "Past Continuous" would crash and burn into bedlam with the rowdy bunch I got. LOL!
A few "fill in the blanks" sentences on the Whiteboard work great for a 10 minutes filler and aside from my already prepared "fill in the blanks" on the whiteboard exercise...I am terribly stuck for ideas...
If anyone got any suitable suggestions (considering the environment of gov schools) that might work for me, I would be very grateful and very thankful.
Kindest Regards
Gerry
