When are you travelling and for how many nights?

I booked a return biz ticket from the UK and was sure that the fare conditions stipulated a 200 GBP change fee. However on contacting the agent I booked through I was told the cost would be 50 GBP and that was the booking agents fee and not Oman Air. So for me things worked out better than expected.
Oman Air are also providing me with a free stopover hotel including meals and transfers in Muscat. As has already been mentioned the ''in the air'' experience is very good with Oman and you will see generally positive reviews on skytrax.
I do understand your frustration but economy ,biz and first travel do come with several different booking codes and if there are no cheaper seats left under your booking code on your new date then you have to pay the difference in price. It's all about supply and demand at the end of the day....Oman Air are no different from any other airline in relation to this.

''however there is a social economic aspect as life has taught many of these ladies to 'grab what they can'..''
Never a truer word........but I differ from you somewhat and would respectively suggest it could be dishonesty?

Although it will not be in my own personal interests to return to the UK that is exactly what I will do when the time comes for the sake of my young daughter.Fortunately the schools in my home town area are not bad...not too bad at all in fact. And if I am in the position to pay for UK private education then that is what I will do.
For now in Thailand I have paid for a pre-school private eduation and have been very pleased with the results. I will continue to pay privately between both countries (I want my daughters Thai language and understanding of Thai culture to improve before a permanent move home) but will move back to the UK at a later date so she can do the bulk of her education there.
Yes ...I am not looking forward to the permanent move home....but I have to give my daughter the best chance in life and for me the ''best chance'' is an education in the UK.
I'm not knocking fathers who think that a Thai upbringing is best for their child...maybe for their child it is the right decision and i wish everybody the best of luck whatever they decide...only time may or may not determine who made the right choice if indeed there really is a ''right''choice between the two countries.
The main thing to remember is that wherever you are if you are a good parent you will usually end up with good kids who will eventually mature into very fine adults!

I got an upgrade to First Class on an E380 Dubai-BKK Emirates.......Stand up full size bar at the back......I was in it for 5 hours and got off the flight paralletic.
Fantastic.

I stayed at the front and demolished the Dom Perignon...
What's wrong with you guys...how often do you get the chance to do a pub crawl at 30000 plus feet up? I did both bars and treated my FC seat as a halfway house type of wine bar .
I must say I wouldn't normally take a shower at the end of a pub crawl either but since I had to stay awake for an hour or two after departing the flying pub it was appreciated!
