^ Oh look, a delusional Thai hater, what a surprise. Posted Image

No, someone who has actually been extorted by the BiB after an accident that wasn't his fault, including having to pay for a vehicle that wasn't ever involved.

Speaking from experience here, not some rose-tinted apologist viewpoint. Posted Image

So it's ok to accuse the BiB (who are all Thai, BTW) of extorting people so often that Thai's don't hang around serious accident scenes, but when someone accuses non-police of the same extortion, they're delusional Thai-haters??

Edit: No, wait, your first post was a joke (now...).

#5275104 A Different Kind Of Tourist

Posted itishothere on 2012-05-05 11:28:53

Last week the triathlon. Tomorrow the mountain bike race. This week the bikers.

Not many appear to be here for the property market I guess. Nor are any of them of a particular nationality.

Short term, a good boost to the low season. Great events in my opinion, they add diversity to the calendar.

i hope they find the poor boy so he can get his meds... sounds like Miss Sulawang Talungpet age 24 has got herself a good catch indeed. why do so many successful men from western countries come to LOS and marry a homely, black Isaan farm girl or fishermans daughter anyway? clearly this is the case here.

probably wasn't so clever to announce the financial situation of the father! i hope in the end everything will be o.k. sounds like father isn't so clever.

Re; marrying a homely black issan girl

Because a black woman with Michelle Obama's resume (or any skin color woman for that matter) likely would not marry a high % of male expats/ tourists seen in Thailand

Why drag her into the discussion.

I don't believe there ever actually was an ad campaign, Cadillac Rolls Royce of cars. That's inane.

Believe what you want...I seen it with my own two eyes...

I believe you may be referring to some of the Cadillac car enthusiast talk back in the late 70s and early 80s. The grill of the Cadillac at that time was often referred to as a Rolls Royce grill. I don’t think it was ever an official Cadillac ad, but may have been written up in car magazines at the time.

Find a racing yacht club.  There are often boat owners / skippers that are looking for extra crew. It won't be personal lessons, but you will learn.

That line is said when they're talking about where to go to eat, one says Mexican the other says Thai and says Thai is like Chinese Mexican.  Thailand is to the south of China and the food is spicier.  It's an American show written by a white American dude, I wouldn't read anything else in to it

Well that is as wrong as possible.....US and Mexico are 2 young countries. USA hasn't developed any food yet. While China is one of the oldest culture that exists, with all that rich variety of food.
China and Thailand: Maybe when you compare Middle Europe with South Europe food. Or like North India and South India.
But as long as I know there is no US food, or? It is just a mix of the food from where the people came when they settled down in America.
You're forgetting all the foodstuffs native to the Americas that contributed to American cuisine (and indeed the world including Thailand and China).

Kids are a major pain in the arse. I have 2 and they cost me a fortune. Get yourself a maid or 2 is my advise. And an ipod touch, a TV with lots of cartoons and get them into nursery as soon as they are 2. Otherwise you will die an early death.

#5155324 Foreigner Assaulted At Bangkok BTS Station By Security Guard - Police Launch...

from the uncoordinated movements of the "victim" looks, like he was drunk. As to "miscommunication" there seems to be thai lady (possibly wife), who was trying to mediate.

The clip might be staged, at the end the "cameraman" is signalled tumbs up by the foreigner on the escalator

He's uncoordinated...because he just got BASHED IN THE HEAD with a metal detector by the Thai security guard and there is blood streaming out of his head near his left eye.

Unbelievable some people are defending this, out of a misplaced need to defend Thailand from being bashed.  This isn't about bashing on Thais, this about a violent individual who assaulted someone for carrying too many balloons in the BTS ticket area.

#5057882 My Diet Program ..

Posted Deserted on 2012-02-15 14:48:34

The point to my previous post was that though there are many encouraging stories of people who keep weight off for x-amount of time but perminent weight loss is perminent. I don't believe that, for example, 1-year programme can equate in terms of difficulty to a life time of maintaining your weight at a certain level. The ramifications of maintaining your weight are far greater, you will need to perminently remove vertain bad habits, you will need to perminently remain active, and you will need to take a perminent interest in your own health. Though some people can obviously manage this, most of us are creatures of preference and eventually revert to how we once were. The amount of time this takes often depends on the person involved. I don't wish to sound negative, but I have been doing long distance running for almost twenty years, my own wieght has fluctuated between 67-98 kilos. I've been through it alol and seen people succeed and fail. In my experience I have seen many people cut out things completely in order to reach a target, only then to slip back over time. Unless you can change your lifestyle so that you're not down the pub half the week, or snacking all the time, success will fleeting at best. Remember, these changes should be for the rest of your entire life, they go far beyond the demands of a diet programme and need a change of mind-set in order to work.
