Ask her if she's willing to convert to Christianity. If she says no then forget it. Why should the man be the one to make sacrifices?

Apostasy is a huge crime in Islam punishable by death. Depending on her family she might even get killed if she converted. Their prohet Mohammad said 'he who changes his Islamic religion kill him'. His words are taken quite literally by observant Muslims as he is considered the 'perfect man'
As for being "the perfect man" he was a warlord who killed and plundered other lands ,he was married many times ,once to a six year old ,although he held himself in check untill she was nine before having sex with her ,
And this is "the perfect man" that these people follow ,and we wonder why most of their religion is  still living in the middle ages.

I am sorry but there is nothing about this backward religion ,that has a phrophet who was married to a six year old girl and consumated it when she was 9 that would for a moment get me to join it .

#5051021 Is Getting Your Partner Out Of Thailand The Key To A Successful Relationship

If I thought Thai women were 'bad marriage material' I would hardly have tried 5 times - one of whom I was married to for over 20 years, and I am presently very happily cohabiting with yet another Thai lady.

I think what is important is, did you enjoy the relationships, not how long did they last.

Where do you live, in a small village where she would run into trouble with the neighbors? (many ppl sadly have an opinion already about Thai wifes, difficult to watch away from it when she repeadetly gets annoyed by them).

I have an opinion already about Thai wives.
I have a wife who just happens to be Thai.
dam_n, I'm conflicted!

#5045104 Is Your Current Partner The "Love Of Your Life"?

Posted wolf5370 on 2012-02-10 20:19:54

Yes definitely. 14 years married plus 2 years courting and 2 great kids. We still talk to eachother, we still joke, we still hold hands and do all the things we did when we were newly weds. We have, of course, had are ups and downs over the years, but I would say the last 3 years have been as good as the first 3 were - and we are still happy together and very much in love. I have never cheated on y wife, nor would I. I am 40 and she is early 30's, so still a long time to go together (I hope!).

I was married before - I was very young (the divorce took longer than we were married for!) - 2 years end to end. I was engaged at least 3 other times - but each time I knew/learned they were not the one. I have had a partner my whole life - from about 5 years old on - and never been alone. I had loves (and lusts) before and made plenty of mistakes, but my current wife is so much my soul partner. There have been times when I was the major wage earner, and times when she was - neither of us carry the other, we are a family and sacrifice like a family does (although she does have more shoes and handbags than Emelda Marcos - lol!).

I wish everyone as much luck in love as I have been blessed with!

Well here is 10 reasons that i left
1/councill tax that you got nothing for
2/traffic wardens
3/intolerant immegrants
4/no police on the streets
5/traffic speed cameras all over the place
6/massive car parking charges
7/overcharging for the simpelest repairs
8/ massive cost of petrol
9/ nanny state
10/motorists being targeted and not criminals
i could go on and on but you guessed it thats why i left Britain
so glad i am here in Thailand ,its more like Britain was in the 60s and 70 s not so many rules and regulations.

Pity you don't list, all the good things in life maybe a reflection on your attitude to life. I also See many of these whining posts about the UK, but many come back for NHS treatment or when the Dream has become a night mare. UK one of the safest places to live in the world, don't read to many papers and believe every thing.

You aint ever lived in Peckham or Brixton the list is ENDLESS ?. Please dont tell me that the UK is THE safest place to live,  i can assure you my friend it IS NOT.  Pattaya is a walk in the park in my OMHO.  I wouldnt walk in a UK city at 0300am in the morning and feel safe. i DO HERE Yes there are drugs anf gun crime out here BUT no where like in the UK.  Thirty years in Law Enforcement has given me a "reasonable" education of life on the mean streets.  Gun crime out here is reported on the news/media.  In the UK there are 4-5 shootings a week in lovely places like Peckham/Bixton etc . half are NOT reported, why you may ask.........  Because the perps dont want to get BIB involved........AND the BIB dont really give a toss.  Suits me fine  until you get caught in the cross fire.  When i came here a short time ago I was told " you aint seen nothing yet until you lived in Pattaya"  no have i trust me. This is nothing !!

Posted WarpSpeed on 2012-02-04 02:25:50

Funny how so many farangs here get so bent when the LAW is enforced and also when it's not, you can't have it both ways people. If you're back in your own country it'd cost you twice as much and if you acted like the OP has described you'd get your head knocked and a night at minimum in jail along with it.

You could have halved that list by getting rid of the car!  Posted Image

Yeah thats true, but by removing the car the list would of gone out of control. Have you ever tried to use public transport in the UK. Posted Image

All women here that want to be involved with Farang have an agenda headed by the word Money.  Be it sitting in front of a computer or sitting in a bar, they are not thinking about eternal love with a poor man. They can get that in any village in Thailand so why bother to hook up with a Foreigner?   Love may well grow over a period of time, but anyone who thinks that his Thai woman wants him for his looks and charm at the outset is deluded.
What a ridiculous and sweeping generalisation maybe spending to much time around the bar scene

Of course it's a broad generalised comment.
I suspect this train of thought might be derived from limited exposure to a wide variety [and class levels] of Thai women. Those of us that have experienced a wide sector of Thai females for years would surely understand that such a predictable [and conditioned] mindset would be a precursor towards vacant knowledge.
