Hi
I would appreciate any Indian Passport Holder
who has entered Thailand recently on a Tourist Visa
Can you please tell your experience?
How many days stay were you given By Airport Immigration please?
It is generally Accepted that 30 days is the correct number
But my Friends holding Indian Passport have always been give 60 days
in the past 3 years and until recently as May 2011.
Now their Travel Agent in India is stressing that only 30 days will be given.
And we are trying to determine if there has in fact been a Change
in what Airport Immigration are now granting.
Thanks
Bill

Well I agree - but of course the Tourist Visa Sticker
the last time I saw one does not say how many days stay it is for.
The days of stay are fixed by the Immigration Officers Date Stamp that he or she applies.
It seems that all Agencies in India will say 30 days
But past experience shows that in the case of 3 other friends that 60 days has been given.
And just to add to my previous example where he was given a Re-entry Permit valid to the
Full 60 days without question / Comment / raised eyebrows by Immigration Head Office staff
but upon Re-Entry to the Kingdom nothing was said either.
The purpose of this Topic now is to Discover Current Experience of
Indian Passport holders entering with a Tourist Visa.

Well this has happened twice - on two separate visits
During BOTH Visits he has obtained
a re-entry Permit - valid for the full 60 days
from Immigration Head Office in Bangkok
So there was Opportunity for the "Mistake"
to be "Discovered"

Hi Maestro
Is your Previous Post on this Subject still Valid?
Or can you kindly direct me to an update?
A friend - Indian Passport Holder who wants to stay 2 months was told today that
a Tourist Visa will give him only one month stay in the Kingdom.
But the same agent gave the same info to another Indian passport holder
just a few months ago but they were given 2 months stay by Airport Immigration.
Any advice would be appreciated.
