Tourist Visa For Indian Passport Holders

Hi
I would appreciate any Indian Passport Holder
who has entered Thailand recently on a Tourist Visa
Can you please tell your experience?

How many days stay were you given By Airport Immigration please?

It is generally Accepted that 30 days is the correct number
But my Friends holding Indian Passport have always been give 60 days
in the past 3 years and until recently as May 2011.

Now their Travel Agent in India is stressing that only 30 days will be given.
And we are trying to determine if there has in fact been a Change
in what Airport Immigration are now granting.

Some visitors are required to show US$500 or more upon arrival at Immigration
to support their Visas.

There is an ATM at Bangkok Airport that dispenses US$ only

Can anybody give factual information about it please?

1. Is it still there?
2. Which Bank operates it?
3. Can Visa Cards of Thai Banks be used in it to withdraw US$ ?

Retirement Extension

When I extended my "Retirement Permission to stay" last year.
we were required to get a New Embassy Income Letter
whereas in previous years copies of previous Embassy Letters were accepted.

What is the Situation now?
Can we use a Copy of Last Years Embassy Letter ?
Is the Rule the same for all Embassies?

Mine is from the British Embassy
