Hello All, Scoop1 there's only a few places to buy coir here and they do bare bones
processing for LOS markets for small users. If you want lower EC, they will sell it, but
you have to buy large amounts and pay more for the extra rinses.
For most of the coir I've used was from a small roadside nursery close to where we live.
Not very low EC, but rinsed a few more times before transplanting.(rinsed in the growbag)
The problem with the roadside coir is that it's different from bag to bag and the quality of
what's in side changes week to week. Some lots of large pieces of husk and/or fiber.
You have to sort it before you you fill bags, that's why I was going with Knnap, going from
bulk to grow bag in one step, and then the normal flush rinse routine before planting.
Things don't work here like at home! In more ways than another.
The first pic is what was left after I sifted a bag to get coir powder to use in plug trays. This
bag had very little fiber, sometimes there's big knots of it in the bags.
The second pic is the nursery as we are zooming by in a tuk tuk with the new Mac. The
large white bags on the L/H side of the tree is what I was using, Bt.90, they get a delivery
once a week, I gave them a few days notice and they would have the truck leave what I
needed, some things do work smoother here, usually with a T-CN in charge.
All my growing is on a 4 month vacation, have to move out of this house and finnish our
house at the farm, looking forwards to the move, not the moving things part.

Hello All, the slabs I think(??) are 10 X 20 X 100cm which are
standerd in coir and rockwool for toms or chilies.
It really doesn't  mater the exact size, as they will handle 3
plants per slab.
Pre-filled  bags/slabs saves time when setting up a system,
especially when it's a one horse  show.
I couldn't find plastic like this in LOS(see pic), it's a 12" W on B
tube.
Call them if if you want info, she speaks good English, or him
with German.

Hello All, from  WET KORAT, got a call this morning from Knaap
and for 100 slabs was quoted Bt.60 each + VAT & shipping.
They will @ me with total cost info, so will post when I get it.
The coir I chose is their #2(same price as 2-5) in the TV-hydro
thread where I gave prices, the #1 cost more.
