Does anyone know where to buy instant Green Tea?  No added sugar, or perhaps a diet variety - if not too over-priced?

Do supermarkets stock it?

Less than an hour ago, someone took a pot-shot at my hotel window.  I heard a pop outside, then (probably a delay as long as a second) a ball bearing came through the top of my window, throwing shards of glass over the floor.  It wasn't high velocity, but enough to make a hole.

I've just moved, and tomorrow I'll head for the relative safety of touristic Krabi town.  Although I don't feel too threatened by the situation.  Probably high jinks, or someone just doesn't like farang.  I've been here three nights, and haven't had any altercations with the natives.  On the contrary, everyone seemed friendly, but a little curious that I was staying here, when most tourists just visit the elephants or the temple, and leave.

Up to now, it seemed like such a peaceful place.  (But it has been raining virtually non-stop).  I had previously planned to stay a week or two, and climb the Wat Tham Sua mountain on days when the weather permitted.

I'd expect this from a touristic hell-hole like Pattaya, but really surprised it happened here.   Only about 100m or so from the buddhist temple.

I didn't report it to the police.  From what I've gathered about Thai police - I don't trust them.  Besides, it might reflect badly on the hotel owners, who seem like genuine nice people.

I was staying in Tawantai Hotel, opposite the elephant farm (The window overlooked the elephants), just outside Wat Tham Sua (Tiger Cave).

I'm flying to Phuket before the end of the year - but only intend to stay 30days this time - so no tourist visa this time.

My question is - Are they checking for outbound tickets at the moment?

Recently, on previous visits, no one seemed bothered.  But a few years ago, Thai immigration were irritatingly thorough about checking.  I remember taking my computer out to show them my outbound e-ticket.

I've always thought the policy was really stupid, for a country connected to four other by land, and more by boat.

So what's the status now? - are they checking for outbound tickets?

I'm new to Bangkok and need to buy a replacement power supply for my unibody MacBook Pro.  Where's a convenient place to pick up accessories?

(That will also honour a warranty if it breaks down).

I don't want to go to Siam Discovery Apple Centre, as they have a famously bad reputation.  (I'm thinking particularly of the Caucasian guy who got beaten up and arrested a couple of years back through no fault of his own when a Thai employee "lost face").

What's a nice, cheap, entry-level Android  phone I can buy in Bangkok?

I'll be leaving Thailand for a while next month to do an app project, and I'll have a whole range of handsets to test on.

But in the meantime, I just want to play around with some test apps, and downloading them to a handset to see how they look.

I don't need anything too high-end for this.
