Suvarnabhumi Bkk - Is There Secure Lt Bike Parking?

2011-12-26 15:12:56

I live part way between Pattaya and Suvarvabhumi, Laem Chabang, so getting to BKK on the D-Tracker 250 should be a breeze assuming I'm allowed on the main road (?) but I keep going 20+ kms into Pattaya to park my bike and get a taxi.

So, as per the title - could I park it somewhere safe at BKK for about a week at a time and if so how much?

Thanks.

Forgot The Re-Entry Permit - Retirement Extension Kaput Kaput.

Don't ask me how I did it and to be fair they did warn me at the border what I was about to do.

With my Cambodia First Timer standing looking confused, I let the taxi go and 9 months of my Extension with it.

I came back into Thailand on a 60 day Visa, which I've since extended by 30 days (expires 28th February).

I've now topped the bank balance up over the 800k again last week and I need to plan what Visa I require/can get to see me through.

My Question is, do the bank funds have to be seeded for 3 months (as was the case for previous applications based on a One Year Multi Entry) or does this count as a new Application based on a new Tourist Visa, in which case it should only be 2 months - I think.

Thanks in anticipation.

Lost Passport So No Departure Card.

2010-07-13 15:35:43

I lost (had stolen?) my Passport in March and eventually got a new one.

It was almost new so I still had my previous one with Visa details and I took both to Jomtien and had them transferred into my new one - again.
I expected they would want some information about when I last entered the Kingdom, my stamped Departure Card having also gone of course.
They didn't want to know and put a new blank one in it.

Being curious, I asked the farang guy there how they would know when I came in the next time I leave. He said they will check on the database.
Oh, OK, fair enough said I and made to leave.
By the way, said he, you can only leave via BKK airport, because none of the land crossings have accesss to the database. Actually, said he, we don't have access to it here either.

Apart from being a nuisance, because I was planning a land trip into Cambodia next, I thought this seemed odd.

Does anyone have experience of this and would I, in reality, be able to leave by a land border.
Will either they or BKK ask for evidence of my last entry?
