The Case Of The Broken Suitcase

2012-05-26 06:50:20

I bought a better quality imported suitcase in Robinsons this year and one of the handles has come loose, a rivet seems to have given away.
I'm torn between taking it back to be fixed under guarantee, which could be a lengthy process, or giving one of the market shoe repair blokes a crack at it.
What to do, what to do.......

Hail, Fellow Squalid Village Dwellers.

Windows 7 And Moving Files

2011-12-29 08:15:24

When I download an emailed zipped Word file I find my only option seems to be to extract it to my main "C" drive.
Then it seems to get stuck there, if I attempt to shift it to one of the libraries, also in the C drive, I get a rap on the knuckles and told that the file cannot be moved because it is already open in Word.
This happens occasionally when I try to move or delete other files, I'm told that the file is open elsewhere.
I suppose I can copy and paste them but what happened to drag and drop?

Pudding Cooking Time

I'm the recipient of a Wilkin and Son's Tiptree 1 pound Christmas pudding.
The genius in customs stuck his sticker right over the instructions and it's not coming off.
I don't have a microwave so I'll have to steam it... but for how long?

Royal Project Shop

This is the shop on the ground floor at Central Plaza near Top supermarket.
I'm always pleased with their produce selection, they had Brussels sprouts and radishes today and the home made pasta is always good.
