Shocked And Flabergasted At Rimping Today

2012-05-22 14:56:17

Agreeing with Rob from Sausage KIng that he uses only the best( and imported items where necessary )and sells at a very reasonable price,I was completly gobsmacked when I looked into the Sausage King freezer this morning
MASHED POTATOES...maybe 2 servings sprinkled with parsley at over 120 baht a pack.
GRAVY frozen into a block at over 120 Bht a block.
Now come on.   Potatoes at about 55 baht a Kilo but cooked and mashed and sold at at least x 5?? and the gravy 80% water at a similar mark up.
Either these labels were wrong or someone is taking the p-ss.
Something is not right when a Sausage King pie costs 40% less than the mash.

Internet Adverts

2012-05-11 09:31:06

I know that this ever increasing value of internet giants is based on advertising and I understand that every 'click' on an advert gives money to the website.,and from the profits and share costs of these sites there must be millions of 'clicks'
I virtualy never even pay attention to  these ads and certainly dont 'clcik' on them for any further info....so they 'aint making anything from me' !.
Am I the only guy in the world who dosnt 'click' ??

I've watched the demo's on channels 10 & 11 and I must confess these pans appear good, non stick doesnt even describe them. Does anyone know if they are stocked/sold anywhere in CM?

Air Con Questions

2012-04-25 08:14:52

According to what I have read on the internet a 10,000BTHU unit is OK for a 20 sq/mtr room.
I have 2 air cons and 2 similar sized rooms.
In room A all is well...in room B not so well as I find that the air from the unit is never cooler than 30C. The exhausted air from the outside compresser is not so hot as from the unit in room A.
Whatever temp I set for room B...say 27C.. the room temp never  reaches it,,seems to be 30C whatever.
SO.. to me .. the unit in B is not operating as well as in A.
The engineer says that the unit is only 9,000 bthu and is too small.
Now,,as far as I can reason,if a unit is too small for the room,it will be running much longer to reach the set temp, maybe running continualy....but that the air from the unit would be cold...but not enough to lower the room temp.
So...my engineer says I need a bigger unit.
I say that if the existing unit was producing cold enough air it would simply need to keep running and gradualy reduce the room temp..
I question the unit for performance...maybe needs an injection of Gas?
Gentlemen...your comments and suggestions are welcome.

Puzzle

2012-04-08 15:15:50

Probably the wrong forum but...
I have a 50 gallon fish tank 42 " long with a 4" partition at one end. The smaller partition is sealed from the larger partition with a 1" dia pipe linking the two. There is a foam filter at the inlet in the big section.,which is porous and kept clean.
The tank is open to the air.
Water is pumped from the big section to the small section where it is filtered and returned to the big section by an overhead spray pipe.
Now... since atmospheric pressure is equal on both water surfaces the water levels in both tanks SHOULD be the same, since the  pipe links the two.
But it isnt !!
With or without the spray pump working the water level in the smaller section is always 1" lower than in the bigger section.
My science education many years ago tells me that the water levels should be the same.
So...why is'nt it the case here.
Another example of 'AmazingThailand ???
