Unfortunately on the website it says that for Windows XP it supports a WiFi connection in ad hoc mode only. The iPad won't connect in ad hoc mode unless it's jailbroken.

I was thinking of buying one of those mifi boxes which you can plug a 3G dongle into to create a hotspot.

There is only one solution. Book your flight and check in a little earlier than normal to allow time to do the paperwork associated with the overstay. When you are picked up by immigration at passport control you will have to fill out a form and hand over the cash (500 baht per day) and then you will be on your way. End of story. Choose to take this advice or do it your own way. Up to you.

I have no idea what you are talking about. A Google search for airline tickets brings up 38,600,000 search results representing a mix of tour operators both big and small as well as individual airlines. How does that demonstrate a decline in the online tour operator. If anything it is expanding.

The last time I applied for a WP through my own company (Phuket) they wanted exterior and interior photos of the office showing Thai staff working in the office. They also came to check my office. It's getting very strict here.
