I witnessed that many of my Farang friends are humorously surprised by the panic mode of many Bangkokians who have within days emptied the shelves of food supplies water and are building sand bag fortresses. The media is not helping much to boost credibility among expats because they cause alarms and then nothing happens.
Are the Farangs right in their recation, are Thai panicking without reason? Or is the situation more critical than we thought and the Thais are making the correct preventative measures?

Why Are Most Ladyboys Taller Than Average?

This is an interesting question since I have the impression that most of the ladyboys are quite tall. Taller than the average Thai man. Is there any explanation for that?
Would It Make Sense To Leave The Country When Not Happy With Election Result?

To be honest I am not happy with the election result and have deepest disdain for Yingluck and her current government. However would it be a good idea to break off everything here, resign my job and leave the country or should I cool down and realize that the government would not have any effect in my private life?

I have talked to a couple wealthy Thai Chinese students and they were majorly pro Thaksin and anti old elite. Is it true that most Thai Chinese have this kind of thinking and why.
Why Do Red Shirts Associate Poompuang With Them?
2011-08-06 18:23:31
Poompunag Duangchan was a very famous folk singer in the 80s who sadly passed away too early. However when watched some of her music clips on Youtube I see people making pro red comments and attacking the ones we are not supposed to talk about. This is just outrageous. Why do people have to make political comments on a music clip.
One person commented that if she were still alive she would endrose for the red shirts. I know she came from humble origins but that does not make her red in any way. When she passed the name Thaksin was not even relevant yet. Why not leave this wonderful singer in peace?
