In Topic: Thailand As International Education Hub: Challenges And Opportunities

"Fourth, Thailand now has many attractive campuses such as those of universities such as Assumption"
I like the way how they mentioned attractive campuses only, nothing about the quality of the education.
Assumption is renowned for spending a fortune on their campus and the image of the university, but they do nothing to attract quality international lecturers, in fact Ramkamheang University has a far superior international faculty, and yet they charge a fraction of the price ABAC does, too bad in Thailand image is everything.
The majority of their "international" staff at ABAC are from Burma or India and 95% speak broken English .
What little American instructors they do have are mainly American students on a work and travel program teaching basic English.

Since when has Tawanna been a tourist destination ??
I passed a tattoo shop in the Kao San road recently and noticed a sign saying "No images of the load Buddha will be tattooed below a clients waist"
This seems more appropriate than banning the practice altogether

I am not surprise at all but we have to give them time to re think about all details ,after all similar problems happened when they opened the new airport. But who are to be blame for such silly details ? I guess the architects who didn't think about luggage for travelers ( that's a joke knowing this is an airport link) . After all its still better , faster to take a taxi to the city center. Who want to be stuck in traffic after flying so long ?

Umm, so let me understand this. The "Airport Link" is not connected to the actual airport so you need to find transportation there. You wait for a train for an uncertain amount of time due to delays and such. When you arrive at the "downtown" station, you have to take a taxi to your final destination. This whole time you are carrying your luggage around, being accosted by touts trying to sell you things, and in the BKK heat.
Whereas myself, I'll walk out of the arrivals hall, jump in a taxi with my luggage, take the highway and arrive at my home on Sukhumvit for 220 baht plus 50 surcharge.
I'll take the second option thanks
Instead of paying 50Baht surcharge walk up to where the taxis drop of passangers and take one of the taxis there.
The airport link IS connected to the airport, it has to be, just it was originally planned to connect the 2 airports but now only connects one with a super busy area of bkk.

They would have been better off spending the money on trying to create a comprehensive transport system in Bangkok and beyond. They now have an old airport laying around, which seems to serve very little purpose. Still they know best and need listen to none but themselves
I think you should instruct them what to do. Seems like you know all about this.
They are already underway in upgrading the MRT with a total combined route of 91km up 333% from the current line length of 21km. Though I dont know why they dont adopt an integrated rail property model like MTR in Hong Kong, as now MRT are operating with a deficit of around 1.5billion Baht

I wonder would the police have been under such intense pressure to bring Ms Wanphen's killer to justice had it not come out that he was a foreigner.
