Foodland is worth a look too. They have stores all over Bangkok. I think you'll find that Villa, Foodland, and Central, will have a much better selection than Big C or Lotus.

Any of the IT Malls should have at least one shop that sells them.
I live near Zeer IT Mall, at Rangsit, and I know they have them there. You could also try Office Depot.

I also had a problem with my Garmin windscreen mount. It was okay for about a year, and then one day I found it on the dash, the rubber had split. Tried to get another one over here, but everyone said they were only sold with the unit. Managed to get one off ebay. That one broke also. I tried the cheap after market ones, but they're useless.
I now use Blu-Tack.
The other problem I had with the suction mount was that where the sucker was mounted, it pulled my window tint off the windscreen.

I got my Non Imm 'O' visa from Hull, six years ago. I have it extended every year, on the basis of marriage. It has "Employment Prohibited" in large red letters at the bottom. I had no problem getting a work permit
