Temporary Immigration Office In Ayutthaya
2011-11-15 11:29:26
Yesterday I found the new temporary Immigration office in Ayutthaya. It is located on the 2nd floor of the Ampo Mall, on the main street entering the city of Ayutthaya from the east. As you're coming from the east, say from Hwy 32, the mall is on the right side of the main street not very far from Hwy 32. The temporary office on the 2nd floor is located on the front end (the end closest to the main street) of the mall. I went there for my 90-day reporting of address. But it looks like they are handling all other immigration needs there also. So it appears there is no need to go to Suan Plu as reported earlier for Ayutthaya Immigration needs. It should also be noted that most of the main roads around town are completely dry. The only flooding we saw was right up close to the rivers, which are still very high.
Is Ayutthaya Immigration Office Open Or Flooded?
2011-10-30 22:52:27
This coming week I need to do my 90 day report (TM47) at the Ayutthaya Immigration Office but I am not sure if the office is open again. I had heard it was temporarily closed due to flooding. Does anyone know if it is open? If not open, does anyone know where the temporary location is? Thanks in advance for any help.
Thai Drivers License For Motorcycle
2011-01-10 19:10:08
I currently have a 5-year motor vehicle drivers license and now need to also obtain a drivers license for a motorcycle. Can anyone tell me what the motorcycle drivers license test involves? Do I only need to demonstrate that I can ride a motorcycle? Or must I take a written test also? When I obtained my initial passenger car drivers license, I used my valid drivers license from the USA to avoid taking any written or driving exams. I only took a color blindness test, a periferal vision test and a reactions test. I have since renewed the one-year Thai license I was initially given. So now I have a 5-year passenger car Thai drivers license. I'm hoping that this license will allow me to skip the written portion of the motorcycle drivers license test. Can anyone explain what's involved? Thanks.
