I posted this to know if anyone who perhaps lived that way had any information.

I was coming from Kamala today around 17:00 p.m., and just before Kalim (and the Ab Zab Restaurant on the left), there were tons of cars, tuk tuks and motorbikes stopped. It was hard to get through, so I pulled over to the side of the road and thought I'd see what the fuss was about. Apparently, there had been two or three people down on the rocks - someone specifically mentioned a ladyboy - who had been swept away. There were police and emergency workers all down near the rocks as well. The tide was rough, and the waves were big and crashing. I stood there for awhile, pretty morbid I know, and just before I left to make my meeting in Patong, I saw one floating, face down body surface. It's really sad. Nothing is in the local rags, which leads me to believe all of the people were Thai.  I don't really need sarcastic comments on this post, I was just wondering if anyone had any information. Thank you.

This little girl showed up when I came home from work last night. She's approximately 8 weeks old and looks like a fox - her tail is black. She is either lost or has been abandoned ... I say this because she stole my puppy's ball and wanted to play fetch. She's clean except for her eye ... I can't tell if she's lost her left eye or if it's infected and closed shut.

Is she yours? Or do you want her?

I live near the TOPS Daily Mart on Soi Saiyuan in Nai Harn. If anyone knows who she belongs to, or would be interested in taking her, please PM me.

Does anyone know of a reliable and inexpensive plumber in the Nai Harn/Rawai area?  Need to get some leaky pipes and a faucet fixed.  There's no need for him to speak English.  If anyone has a recommendation, please do let me know.  Thanks!

a thai neighbor from across the street came over last night to warn me to lock my motorbike at night and my windows when i leave in the morning for work.  apparently, in the last 3 nights there have been motorbike thefts on both soi samakee 2 & 4 as well as two house break-ins.  i am assuming the incidents all involved thais, but i thought that i would give the heads up to you all living in my neighborhood nonetheless.

i was wondering if anyone had details on where the wedding ceremony will take place this saturday 11 june? i'd like to go into town and take some photos. i've checked all of the usual websites regarding phuket and a few thai ones, too. they only say the wedding is 10 + 11 june. if anyone has details beyond the dates, they would be much appreciated. thanks.
