Where can you buy shoelaces in Pattaya - or Bkk for that matter.

Getting worried now, one pair of shoes out of action as laces are shot and I have never come across a shop that sells shoelaces... I have not gone on an intense hunt yet, but I thought that over three months of just regular getting around I would find some but have found none.

Looking for standard black laces, not lime green or some other trend lace - those i see from time to time on the street.

Wondering if anyone knows the best possible way to get from Pattaya/BAngkok to Phnom Phen if it turns out the Bkk airports are not serviceable later this week.

I understand now that this is considered remote - but Bkk flooding was considered an impossible event a week or so ago.

I have tried Air Asia to underssatnd if any other airport they use in Tland has a flight to PP, after ten minutes of listening to them go on and on about how the airport in Bkk is open and would never close - I finally got an answer, they have no flights out of any other airport.

Trying to find out what would be my air or, failing that, ground options to get to PP. I have an alternate flight from there I can take Sat AM, so I suspect by ground I would have to leave here Fri AM as the trip must be 10+ hours but I am not sure, any comments appreciated.

Anyone have details of waht happened to the Avenue condo during the storm.

I guess it is obvious but they have been draining water from the underground parking for 2 dyas now and looks like there has been no power at all for two days as well....

Quick Q, anyone know of a place in the area to get some eyelets put in the holes of a belt and to get a few belts shortened?

I went today to a bespoke leather shop on sai 2 and the guy there put some really not strong aluminum eyelets (probably only good for decorative purposes) on using just a hammer - not an eyelet press.

Sure enough four hours later I unhook the belt for the first time and the eyelet in the hole I had pinned fell out. So need to try and find a place that is beeter at this.
