Buying A New Desktop Pc

My old desktop is playing up, so i think its time to buy a new one.
Can anbody recomend which model to buy, want to spend 20,000bht max, would prefer a brand name rather than a custom build?
I really only use the PC for inet stuff, & a few letters, but i like a fast machine, very, very rarely ever play games.
I only need the PC box, my LCD screen is perfect.

Is the Intel Pentium Duo core the way to go??

I do have a notebook but not really into using that on a full time basis.

Not too Technical please!!
