When i ordered my fingerlings in September the 1st to be deliver on October, never did i expected the flood to be so serious. On the the 8th of Sept' my fingerlings agent called me up for help, that is to accept them early on the 14th due to the flood but the sizes were 1.5''-2'', after an hour off to clear my mind, i agreed to help only if he guarantee the mortality claim, that been settled, i offered to help by doubling my fingerlings ordered from 220'000 to 440'000 (yes i've a motive ). Made a killing yesterday when i sold a pond of 220'000 fingerlings size ranging from a "big toe" to 1 and a half finger measurement of its head back to my wholesaler's client for ฿2 each and made a profit of ฿280'000 after total cost ...not bad for 2 months work as raising them to marketable size in cold season would need 4 and a half at least.

Yes after some consultation, it was cleared that the flood would wipe out the fries producers in the areas, so i was advise to go this path with the guarantee that my wholesalers would need them...now there's not a single Big Oui fry available and i have them....Lucky me~*

Just completed harvesting my Pla Duk Oui.
Achieved 33 Ton from 160'000 fishes, FCR 1.16:1, 1920 feed sacks (Betagro Omeg).
Profited ฿15/kg

Farmgate price = ฿ 46/kg. (Chiang Rai)

Thought i post this up for friends living in Chiang Rai as well...

Did my 5 years renewal for the first time yesterday, i found out from my neighbour that to avoid the morning crowd and long waiting time, the best time to go into the land transport department was right after lunch break, true enough there's only a handful of applicants.

The documents needed were :

- The expired driving licence (just the expired licence, no application form needed)
- Letter of residency (got it from Mae Sai Immigration for 100 THB)
- Medical certificate from the local hospital (got it from Overbrook Hospital for 80 THB, went in during lunch break, cleared this stage within 30 min)
- Photocopy of passport bio-detail page and permission of stay extension page (only this 2 pages is required, no need to copy date stamp and disembarkation card)

Payment for licence :

- 505 THB for application
- 100 THB for the licence
- 5 THB for the plastic protective envelope thingy (optional, but i bought it because it was as if she was signalling me to buy it like she needed a tip or something)

That's it, exit the building with my brand new 5 years and 1 month (till my next birthday) driving licence, all within a record time of 8 min.
