I understand the practicalities of people's choices so I am not looking for name and shame (other than something basic like "I would not buy from there")
I am looking at buying a new CBR 250 ABS and was curious if there were any shops that were significantly better than the others on (in this order)

About Me
Very simply, I live in Thailand because I love it here. I could live anywhere else ... I choose here. If you live here and don't love your life here, ask yourself : "Is there anywhere else that living there would make me happier?" If yes, then move. If not then you are probably just unhappy by nature

Friends - Request That The Additions Default Be Set To "Must Approve"
2011-07-03 14:18:30
Over the last few days a sponsor has been regularly adding random people to his/their friends list and there have been multiple complaints about this. PM blocking and even the full ignore option does not stop these requests, which in some cases are repeated over and over. Mine has been set on must approve and I have had repeated requests by this same sponsor. I have no desire to be associated with a for profit business that has practices that I consider "shady" and others have expressed the same.
Is there an option to set everyone's default setting to must approve? Many people do not want to be associated with a sponsor whose goal is to use them without their knowledge in marketing. Even Facebook has its default set to require your active consent to be added as a friend.

Google Ads -- Dems Go Hi-Tech On Tvf
2011-06-29 22:49:09
I was scrolling through the forum and who did I see on my screen but an ad for Abhisit and the Dems.
Clicking on it brought me to a Youtube of Abhisit at Central World last week. It is in Thai but it starts with him laying into PTP and Thaksin. Brought to Youtube by http://campaign.democrat.or.th/
Many of the videos are pretty good! Including the "Mickey Mouse court" statement on Al Jazeera.

Haircut, Aging, And Insanity ;)

OK ..
I do have a few pet peeves and one is waiting to get a haircut. I would rather ride the motorcycle around to find a place with no line at all than to wait ... yeah, I know .. patience is a virtue I do not have in any great quantity.
I finally got my haircut today (at one of the two places I commonly use) after a few months of letting it grow out! What a relief! I didn't skin it but did have them use sheep sheers (clippers) at 12mm (#5) and the difference in comfort is amazing! It was long enough that I was starting to look like Albert E. !!! (but not as cute!)
The sad thing is ... I just turned 47 last week .... and was teasing with the woman that cut my hair that I was starting to go grey! She laughed (pretty hard!) and said "starting to? You were starting to a year ago! You are 30% Grey now!" ..... I looked at what she had shaved off and dam_n it! It is true! I am fortunate in that I still have a full head of hair .... but wow! 30% from about 5% a year ago! .... grrrrrr
The insanity part is letting your hair get long in this climate!
Oh ... for you budget minded folks ... the cost was 60 Baht .. I tipped 20 ... she did my moustache and a neckline shave/sideburns shave too
