#5257734 Liverpool Declining To Decline Thread?

Posted Romfordboy on 2012-04-28 20:48:15

Probably been said already but I can't be arsed to trawl through 100 odd posts.......

Liverpool are the same as Newcastle, get all mistey eyed when one of their ex playing legends takes the helm and ignore the fact he's clearly not up to the job. Again.

Misguided loyalty and that daft, self indulgent notion that being a Liverpool fan is something special and revered the world over. You'd think they were the only team in the world with a bit of history........

At Carmine since you called me out yet again!

Carmine I can honestly say I don't know you but what I can say is I don't think I would like you either, yes this is just a forum but you come across as one of the most spiteful posters on this thread. And you seem to think your opinions or your beliefs are far superior to anyone else's and if anyone should show any passion or support for their team they are to be ridiculed. You make it personal with you constant belittling of my opinions  and beliefs instead of just a dig at the team or results (banter) it isn't!

Why would I expect you to understand what I say? But here goes....its called 'The Liverpool Way'

From the moment I was told about Liverpool FC by my family at the age of about 7 or 8 that was that....on the bad days it's a horrible thing but the love never goes away! You learn about a set of common values that I guess define us as Liverpool supporters (I am not saying we are better but just different) and a set of values that give our club and fans the identity and some sense of a relationship with the Club that makes it so special to be a Red with a real unwavering support of the team.

'The Liverpool way' in short it was moulded by Bill Shankly he made Liverpool FC into one of the greatest clubs in world football! It was a vision beyond just football...he wanted to use the City’s characteristics to define the culture of the club. He wanted to give Liverpool a unique identity and to lift the club and its supporters to the best in world football.

When Kenny returned I felt part of that had come back Ten Fold in complete contrast to another recent manager Mr Hodgson! I was gutted when Rafa left, he was a complete outsider like Hodgson but he was a winner and he became part of 'The Liverpool Way' he got us in so many ways and earned the respect of the supporters, even now he speaks of the love of the city and how his family still lives there, his genuine kindness and support to the Hillsborough group and his love of LFC. Even Houllier got us and the club on many levels and had that special love of the city after living and working there as a teacher many years before joining the club.

When you read Kenny's book 'My Liverpool' you read about the impression Shanks had on him, including Bob Paisley, Evans and everything about 'The Liverpool Way' and you get to see the connection with the fans that those managers had and especially what makes Kenny so special to us...

Times move on and players and managers come and go. All I ask is that a manager loves the club as much as WE DO or makes that effort to 'Get us' it is very obvious who does or doesn't. I would love to see the likes of a Carra come though and be part of the management and keep that sense of the Boot Room going and 'The Liverpool Way ' alive in the club. I  would also love to see a young talented manager come in who whoever that may be but become part of what I have said just as many past managers have done.

I could go on all day but this will all fall on many deaf ears especially one persons !  as much as a Christian will have when listening to a Muslims beliefs and so on...I am sure some fellow reds who are old enough will certainly get what I am saying?

"Bastion of Invincibility" Liverpool Football Club.

A Bill Shankly qoute,
About Everton, once his greatest rivals, he wrote: "I have been received more warmly by Everton than I have by Liverpool. It is a scandal that I must write these words about the club I helped to build".[128]

yes Liverpool fans are unique, hence my chance to see my club play away in Europe was denied by said fans due to a ban on English clubs.  Same fans rushed the entrance in Athens risking another disaster, a friend of mine who goes every where with them was embarresed and ashamed, he had 4 people crushed in where he should have had one seat.
Come on Chelsea cant wait to see another one of Kenny's sad looks after the game, before he gets fired.

#5253283 Why Is It So Difficult To Find A Good Friend In Thailand

Posted mjj on 2012-04-27 08:48:48

Guesthouse, I dont get why the guy launched into a tirade against you. I might just be being thick, but the 3 questions he asked seem quite normal, or am I abnormal. Anyway anyone want to fill me in?

Regarding the op, I think that expats are are funny bunch. Many will completely blank me as I say hello or pretend they didnt here. I have a running joke with my wife that whenever we see a farang and he sees me that he will look at the floor immediately. Are they all international criminals. At this point I must point out that I dont live in an area with lots of farang. One guy was even behind me in the queue in Tesco's and ignored me and looked at everything he could, except my way. Maybe I'm scary looking or such an arsehol_e that people know not to talk to me.

Many farang I've met like to turn every conversation into a pissing contest. One guy would always tell me whatever I bought was shit and that his was the best........and I mean everything fridge, sofa, car, even said to me, 'my wife speaks better english than yours'.

I wonder why so many farang see each other as direct competition??

#5219749 Does The Songkran Water Madness Finish On Sunday 15Th?

Posted ralphlsasser on 2012-04-15 11:18:43

It wouldn't be bad for the ones that wants to participate, but when the idiots get stupid and throw ice or rocks in their water, that's going too far. Motorcycles are dangerious enough, but when some drunk, idiot 14 year old hits you in your face with water while driving, that's going too far. When the drunks get in the middle of the road stopping all traffic, wheather you want to or not and dances to music that is loud enough to cause hearing damage, that's going too far. When one of the drunk kids makes a girl stop on a motorcycle and feels her breasts, that's going too far. If that is fun to you, there is something seriously wrong with your head. So, go have your idiotic, stupid, dangerious fun.

You had a call on March 31st informing you of a bomb why this postPosted Image .

I am a local and regular visitor of the town centre. A friend was standing the opposite side of the road at McDonalds other 2 were only 1 block away when the big bang happened. The centre is always a bustling area and I meant to say how sad to see that Hat Yai became a "ghost town". The point of the thread is to express feelings, not expressing facts as everybody knows what happened  Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image Up to the ability of comprehension.
ghost town?I assume you do not drive a car.
You are right, I do not drive car, but drive motorbike everyday. What is the point with the car?????
And yes, the local people are still here as they live in Hat yai and cause me head-ache in the traffic for sure.
As the title says Hat Yai centre, it was meant to be figurative language.
I meant to say town centre, where the toursits hang around, not the town  in general. Probably, you have not spent too much time to comprehend my lines. I just wanted to highlight how strange to see the centre without that bustling athmosphere. I meant to say that those perpetrators have really achieved what they wanted, to cause some panic and deter toursists.

Strange how many people hang around without any constructive thoughts, only negative comments whatever the topic is. I don`t understand why it has become a sport to demonstrate disdain towards fellow forum members Posted Image

I am an evangelical Christian, I do share my faith with others but only those who show an interest, I do not force anybody to listen nor do I drone on when no-one is listening, I do not like many of the tv evangrlists who give a ten minute sermon and a fifty minute sales pitch. As a christian I cannot force anybody to believe what I believe, that would be counter productive. If I talk to someone and the subject about what I believe comes up and I can see there is no interest outside of polite attention, then I will stop talking about my beliefs and let the conversation go in a different direction. The best evangelistic tool I have is the way I live my life, I cannot justify telling others to live righteously while living unrighteously myself, if you do not do as you say, you cannot expect others to do what you say without seeing what you do first. Christians are persecuted and killed in parts of the world where there is religious intollerance, in Northern India it is at the hands of zealous Hindus, in the Middle East and Northern Africa it is at the hands of Muslims, China often has regular raids on underground churches which can often lead to lengthy prison terms without trial, in the West it is the athiestic interest groups that want to silence the church in countries that were founded on Christian principles. Here in Thailand there is religious tollerance and all religious groups have the right to promote their brliefs, which is as it should be.
