Ok, i need some conformation

My wife just told me (she read online) that in May of 2011 the government announced a 5 day holiday from 13-17, yes i know its awhile away, but i wanna know if this is just a rumor or is it real news,

why would they want to make a 5 day holiday anyway

Re-Entry Permit

Good evening

I have a friend whom is currently on a Marrage 1 year visa, He does not want to lose his visa, This middle of this month, i am going to take a trip to loas for a visa, and he may want to go with me (since he has never been there before) he would like to see something new.

I informed him about re-entry permits, but he had a question that i was unable to answer

Question: If i apply for a re-entry permit now do i have to leave now, or can i apply now and use it later, ? how does this work

do you have to apply for one before i leave, or can you spefify the dates that you will leave and come back weeks or days before hand,
