When I bought mine in 2007 the sticker on the tank said 91 benzine, so I've run it with that ever since.  39,000 on the clock and she still is running well. I also find that 5th and 6th gears are not similar to an overdrive as some Phantom owners have complained of when running on 95 gasahol. As far as I am aware the seals and gaskets of a Phantom of this age do not like gasohol be it 91 or 95 and that is your your main problem.  Yes 91 red (as was) is more expensive but the performance is worth it. At the risk of starting another slanging match, she likes Pure 91 best of all, closely followed by Shell.

How about... and here comes the shock headline... a projector screen and teach the kids together as opposed to having 30 kids in a room; half playing games and FB, the others watching the same thing at different times, some with dead batteries, others who have left their tablet at home or had it knicked from them...so many reasons why this tablet idea is just rubbish.
Agree entirely with this sentiment. I was involved in a project similar to this when working as an Airframe/Engine Instructor in the early 90's. A tremendous bit of kit, very powerful and with 2 screens you could show the objective of the lesson on one screen and the part you were teaching on the other so that the students could cross refer.  You could also blank one or both screens to check students understanding. The hardware and software in those days came close to 1 million pounds for 3 classrooms. We had many meetings about it and came to the decision that the Computerised Assisted Training System (CATS) would only be used for 20% of the course, the rest being traditional chalk and talk. The feeling being in those days that the students would be watching the show rather than learning. However the software and hardware enabled us to improve the traditional OHP presentation to new heights. This talk of teachers of over 50 forgetting what they are being taught is an insult and a typical Thai politicians smokescreen for their own failure. Shame on them. This tablet farce has been a 3 ringed circus from beginning to end, pure entertainment.

They have good quality kidneys here, so I think I will give it a go today, thanks for the inspiration Shane mate. Don't have dark beer here in Phitsanulok, but had some excellent Laos Dark Lager on a visit to Muhktahan recently, just like a very potent Mild, 6.8%. So will have to make do with red wine only.

Changing the oil every 2000 km seems a bit much

I disagree.

I do the same. It's so cheap that I don't even notice the money spent, and I ride my bike hard.

I also give the chain a quick spray of lube when I get home every evening.

Over maintaining your bike is better than the opposite.

I second that commotion, oil withstands tons of pressure, removes the heat from the hot end, reduces friction and cleans as well, 2000 kms is a good time to change it, it is so cheap anyway compared to an engine rebuild. The manufacturer recommends 4000kms.  I think for an air cooled bike especially, the oil is beginning to lose it's best qualities at this time.
