#5341117 British Furniture Shop Owner Caught With Large Quantity Of Drugs In North Pat...

Posted TommoPhysicist on Today, 08:16

I really don't understand the 'hang em high' brigade.
Taking drugs is a personal choice, same as smoking tobacco or drinking alcohol or over-eating.
This guy has done no-one on this forum any harm. It's not like he was a mugger or bag-snatcher.

Almost every adult I know has tried prohibited drugs for recreational purposes at some time in their lives.
(Viagra, cannabis, opiates, steroids, etc.)
And what about those of you who use prostitutes? You are also criminals.

Give it a break  guys, you just make yourselves sound like right plonkers.

The darkside is the place where happy and content people live....... you don't see us on ThaiVisa complaining about the Traffic, Russians, Dodgy Condo developments, Bar closures, Traffic lights, ++ Pricing, etc, etc, etc,.......:)

It is a place where (farang) life itself is gradually having the life sqeezed out of it. Did a tour of the bar/restaurant life around the lake the other day, dead, dead dead, nothing,no customers whatever. Beautiful houses, top end ones up for rent as no possibility of selling (house of the year 2005 up for urgent sale,no chance) along with virtually every house your gaze settles on. Shame really, pre 2007 it was a spin off from the Pattaya building boom, cheaper place to own your dream in the sun. Can think of another place too that will go the same way,BS for sure

Those houses out there were always for suckers...I've driven around the area for years and never understood all the McMansions being build around the Maprachan mud-hole. Nobody with any smarts about Pattaya would ever have built/bought that far out.

So you have driven round the area for years and never understood why anyone would want to live there? Maybe to get away from people like you who are rude(calling people you've never met suckers), pretty dumb (you can't understand etc.) and very opinionated. I think ypu and downtown Pattaya deserve each other

#5329625 If You Need Anything For You Car... Boy Air And Sound

Posted rmicheald on 2012-05-25 08:01:04

Because of recommendations on the forum here, I went to Boy Air and Sound yesterday.  They have EVERYTHING... electronics, body panels to customize you car or van, lights, alarm systems.. you name it.

Prices are good too.  I just had a Navigation system, Alarm, air horns rear view camera and door bumpers installed for 22,000 baht.  The same Nav System (only) on "SPECIAL" at Nissan was 28,000.  So I got a higher quality Nav/sound System AND all the extra stuff for much less than at the dealer.

The system sounds great.  I haven't tried the Nav yet because you have to sign up to the software site and wait for a confirmation (about 2 days). but the music sound etc.

I had to wait about 5 hours for them to finish everything, but it was cleanly installed and everything looks very nice.

They are way outside of town on the Bangkok side of Pattaya accross from the Toyota dealer that is way outside of town (not the first one you come to).  On the corner of Soi 5 and Sukhamvit.

#5326916 What Is The Pattaya "Dark Side"

Posted pluto_manibo on 2012-05-24 10:31:16

For me Darkside has been home for 10 yrs. It has changed immensely since then but I still enjoy what it has to offer. Frankly, I have no interest in the hole in the wall bars and all the useless banter that comes with it. However, I do enjoy the more natural surroundings of the area ( not busy soi nerm plub waan/kao noi or kao thalo), bike rides, cross country running, motorcross, fast access to motorway, lakes, golf courses, more and more varied restaurants, wider plots of land, lack of 2 week idiots who feel they know all and are rude. If you live here, you have access to everything Pattaya has to offer, when and if you want it, without having to face the ugliness of it 24 hrs a day. Sadly, as it happens everywhere, this will change with time....then it will be time to move somewhere else!

#5312075 Business Leaders Tell Mayor Foreign Tourists Have Lost Confidence In Pattaya

Posted petercool on 2012-05-18 22:33:41

Pattaya has so few original locals and has become a city of transients with no real commitment to developing any civic pride. When a fast profit rather than a long term benefit rules, this is what you get.

then select if you want to pay sending charges and receiving charges or both.

Great info thanks.

Which option is it best to select regarding charges? In best I mean cheapest.

Also, I am not currently at the address they have for me in the UK, I'm resident in Thailand. If I do get a security check phone call, is there a number provided for me to contact them?

Cheers...

This is just another example of what Thug mentality the Reds are.......

Mob mentality...perfected by the yellow shirts I'm afraid.
It worked for them so why not let the reds do it too?
Of course in addition to the retrofitted "but Abhisit" button, also popular, as illustrated above, is the "but the yellow shirts" button, which can be changed into "but the airport" with CTRL+SHIFT.

Red shirt keyboard conversions available now at Pantip.

#5289644 Has Tommy Dee Left Pattaya105?

How very kind of you to be concerned, I truly appreciate it.

I have decided  to spread me wings, as it were, for various reasons and am now looking at a few ideas as I decided to take two weeks out from any microphones and 7 Inch disks to come up with a plan for the future.

Sadly, for those with good ears, I will be back soon as I happen to actually enjoy what I do.  Its kinda funny really, but putting a show together is a compound of 3 hours homework, a gallon of coffee and a quick prayer before going on air for another three and a half hours, I often wonder if I am just stupid and would be better off going on with no prep and "winging it" but listenining to those who do, I think i nealry have the receipe right Posted Image

George and TV have been a fantastic support o me too, with news being fed from Matt and a great online relationship.  I hope, at some time, we can continue that.  Equally, 105FM is a great station and I know they will continue to do what they do too

Again, thanks for the question, I didnt know anyone was really listening to the show.  What ever I do, and where ever I go from, the format will remain the same... more or less
