#5335671 Why Do Hot Farangs Dislike It Here?

Posted heatherm on 2012-05-27 12:17:53

How long have you guys been talking about this?  The answer is very simple.  A hot girl that spends her money on bigger boobs generally spends an above average amount of time on hair and make up.  Two hours to put on her face and get her hair straight is normal.  When she walks outside it is all ruined.  The make up starts to drip down her face and her hair frizzes up to the moon. Ladies that waste their money on plastic surgery tend to be less secure about how they look so when the humidity wrecks it all they feel ugly.
I like Bangkok.  I'm one of the no make up frumpy ladies.  I look the same in A/C as I do walking down the street.

There are two common links in all your failures. Bangkok and you.
You could eliminate one as the cause by moving somewhere else. Bangkok is a hot uncomfortable shithole, why are you surprised they don't like it? What aspects of it do you expect they would enjoy?

I like Britts too, and I guess you are one by your spelling of asses.

I am sure we would have an interesting conversation.

I don't like to be pedantic (surely the grossest mistruth you will find on these fora" but I rarely spell "asses" on these fora.  If one cannot call a spade a spade, one can at least call a donkey such.

Let's face it, if one does not know one's arse from one's donkey, one is surely beyond ,,,

and I interrupt this drivel to highlight it has all gone mad at the Etihad.  Hullkingstonerovers have a penalty from FC stripping, four point sbehinf on the 10 metre line two tackles to go...

the kick through".. was thata knock on"
"No it wasn't"
"Well I'm not so sure"
And FC hoof it up the field,,,

Four minutes....

In my town there seems to be 25 + Top Charoen shops and every new shop seems to be one but i never see any body in them , or do i need glasses?.

Many businesses appear to be based on the same business model. Not saying specifically about TC, but remember there are many businesses whose biggest problem is how to sanitize truckloads full of cash in order for it to be funneled into the legit economy.

As long as you have a way to fudge your raw-materials records then empty shops can be a very valuable resource, especially if it's relatively high-margin and brands can be counterfeited.

Even as a standalone enterprise outsourcing for others, 30%+ off the top is pretty normal for such services.

OR, heard it on Russian TV, so translation may not be perfect

One opened a supermarket with good food, good prices.

Next week, another opened exact same supermarket right next door on the left with huge signs and lights saying"BEST FOODS IN TOWN"

Another week later, another opened supermarket right next door to the first one, but this one opened on the right hand side.

Again, huge signs with lights and bling bling, signs say "BEST PRICES IN TOWN"

The first, the original guy, could not compete with all the expansive signs and lights and just put a grey sign saying "MAIN ENTRANCE"

To my opinion, the school expenses here for decent education (in Thai standards) is the same as in my country back home.
The only different thing is that here you actually pay it compared to my country that it is already integrated in the federal taxes we pay on our salary every month and the yearly taxes.
But neverthless I must admit that maybe for some of the Thai parents it will be expensive and for others not.
We can't also forget that the Thai culture is quite different than ours.
I understand the Thai thinking about Thai parents sending their kids to schools with good education because the children, when having a nice and esteemed job, will take care of their parents for the rest of their days.
I wish it was that simple, but it's not unfortunately. Most of these prestigious schools such as the Saint Joseps, Sacred Hearts, Assumptions etc. are just cheating the parents out of of their hard earned money. The quality of their programs is a farce. Children will pass every test, failing is not allowed and lessons are canceled for whatever ceremony the management can think of.

I would estimate that at least 25% of the classes are canceled! These kids will go to universities where the same rules apply, inferior work leads to a degree. I have a Thai friend who teaches at one of the better universities here and he shows me sometimes the 'work' of the students. Copying and pasting wikipedia is the norrm. Only a handful, self motivated kids, will actually put in their own work and learn.

These kids won't stand a chance in the international business community, and will never earn enough money  to justify the money their parents invested in schooling! Most of them are completely inept. Maybe I sound hard and all, but I haven't seen differently unfortunately. Schooling is big business in Thailand!

Once parents stop paying 'tea-money' to get their children into the 'best' schools, all schools will become more equal.
Paying bribes just increases the cycle of corruption.

But that would mean that entry into the top schools would be based on academic competition rather than wealth, and that's just not the "Thai way" is it?

Common sense and a sense of direction/adventure are all you need! If you don't have those but are able to speak, try asking .... much more enjoyable than trying to  rely on 'the latest' technology ..... and, the next time you have to go there you will more than likely remember! Try it, you might enjoy even enjoy it.

If the dems tefforts were to direct the relief supplies to the more needy, then surely this is in line with "working together" but depending on the pheu thai definition of pressuring, however I suspect their definition of pressuring may be different to everyone else's

When was the last time the dems have directed ANYTHING at the most needy? They do not even acknowledge that the most needy exist. the reason they lost power was because they spent all of those years ignoring the most needy. Had Abhisit visited Issan, and the south a few times, and offered the most needy some assistance, he may have gotten re-elected. Ignoring more than half the country, and favoring the rich, and the military is no way to win an election. If there is one thing you can count on from the (let's think within the box) conventional dems, it is that they will ignore the needy, every time. I am not saying the other party is the answer, but their power comes from not ignoring the needy.

First , I would like to ask JONNYSCOT how long he has lived here in Thailand. Abhisits government could have been the very best thing to happen to this Thai Nation if it were not for the fact of trying to hold together a very broad coalition party..  Those coalition members crucified Khun Abhisit at every turn...   had he and his Dem party had an absolute majority, Thailand and all its people poor and rich,  would be much happier and much better off spiritually and financially ...   but that was not to be and such we will never know....   what we do know however is we have a government full of Red Shirts and MPs who do not know their ass from their elbows and are only in Government for one thing....  corruption.....   Thailand is on a slippery slope with no Brake ....   Reap what you Sow...!

If he had fired the bags out of a scatter canon someone would claim it was pointing the wrong way.

The trouble; being in many cases too much alcohol consumed prior to venturing forth on the journey home, the parties should start at ones destination rather  than at the first step  of the journey.

First the man takes a drink
Then the drink takes a drink
And then the drink takes the man

If 90 day entry can likely obtain anywhere but if extension of stay the re-entry should be from office providing that extension.  Would need to go to Chiang Watanna if in Bangkok.  The one stop moved from Central Latphao area several years ago and do not believe they would provide unless have extension from them.
