E-Cigarettes

2011-09-07 09:39:30

Hello,

Has anyone been to UK recently and do you know the laws on inhaling e-cigarette vapour in pubs.  It is not smoking, there is no combustion of tobacco and hence no "passive" smoking of combustion products. Is it at the pub manager's discretion?

They are still banned by most airlines which I find odd. Nicorette inhalers which look like small cigarette holders are allowed.

Carpet / Rug Cleaning

Hello all,

Does anyone know of a specialist cleaning company for Chinese silk rugs, Indian Dhurri rugs / runners (cotton, I think) and a large Greek Flokati (pure wool) carpet?

They would have to pick up and deliver. I am in Sukhumvit area.

Thanks, Thairet

Banknotes

2011-04-02 15:49:20

Hi,

I saw an article on CNN today re polymer / plastic banknotes.  Thailand introduced these a few years ago for the B50 notes.  Then they pulled them.  I thought they were great!

Anyone know why they stopped issuing them?  You could even leave them in your shorts (if you had your own washing machine) and they'd be clean and undamaged.

Re-Visiting E-Cigarettes

2011-02-23 02:47:20

I am only familiar with SKY e-cigs.  They actually produce vapour which looks like "smoke", but contains no carciinogenics.

Has anyone attempted (or know the rules and regs) using these during a flight?

The distributor in UK of this Canadian product claims they are accepable on flights.
