No flame at all, just simply pointing out that its better to do some research before making assumptions. corn tortillas are not simply corn and water as has been incorrectly suggested and masa must be made from field corn not regular sweet corn and involves lime (stone) so its not a simple easy process.

I have never found masa in any kinds of real quantities in Thailand and did research trying to find corn of the right hardness (yes its got to have the right starch content) in Thailand as well. So, before suggesting you are getting flamed perhaps take my politely worded suggestion and do some research.

Hi Thantawan and welcome to the forum. You might want to consider two separate threads. One here about adapting to life in Thailand and a separate one in the Isaan forum asking about costs, schools etc.

Another garbled headline from The Nation, the newspaper which fired most of its native speaker sub-editors a few years ago and has reaped the shoddy results daily ever since.

Somebody should complain about their bad English giving Thailand a bad image.

And someone should remind people that hijacking a topic with off topic nit picking is poor netiquette and could lead to posts being removed. Lets do try to stay on topic, cheers

Free chips are starting to be a thing of the past.  Even Tequila Reef is quite clear that with rising costs they can no longer give customers free chips.

How expensive is a little corn, water, and salt (all easily sourced locally)? Throw in some oil and a few bahts worth of gas for frying and walla...cheap and tasty corn chips!

Suggest you learn how to make corn tortillas before making assumptions about how easily they are made.
