1M population in Chiang Mai City??? You been reading to much propaganda.    Everything else I agree.:D

It depends where you stop counting.  'City' may refer to Muang district, which is likely FAR under 1 million. (300K perhaps?)  But then there's a lot of people if you include the metropolitan area which may (depending on how you choose to count) include (parts of) surrounding districts.

Pretty sure its over a million, with all the out of province Thais and foreigners: http://en.wikipedia....tropolitan_Area

Mueang Chiang Mai  240,466

Mueang Lamphun, 142,881

  San Sai 112,921

  Mae Rim 85,968

  San Kam Phaeng  76,424

  Saraphi  76,138

  Hang Dong  76,059

  San Pa Tong 75,907

  Doi Saket  66,101

  Ban Thi, Lamphun  Province 17,614

  Total 970,479

Isn't there a valet service?  Given the price level I would expect so..  :whistling:

I wasn't only being frivolous.. given the positive reviews I planned to take the family there, then went to the web site to check the exact location.  Then I stumbled on the 'specials' menu, and their pricing.  Then I thought.. WHOA.. that's not guesthouse pricing.. if the specials already cost 150-200 baht, then I am concerned about the regular food..  Maybe the issue is with the web site, but I'm reading correctly then meatloaf and some mashed potato costs 235 baht 6 days of the week:

So anyway I'll make the effort and come by some day soon.   I have since heard on and off this forum that I was WAY out to lunch on this, and I should shut up and visit.   So I will.

May have to wait until pay day though. ;)

Could anyone either post the address and/or Google maps to this place? :)

I have been using the same barber Mr. Yong for the last 6 years.  Sent many of my friends and overseas visitors to him and never heard a complaint. Pay 200 THB, and free head wash and scalp massage.

The location is in Chiang Mai Land:

Always chuckle when seeing the blatant disregard of mostly Thai operators for safety. Am I the only one seeing the "lead guy" stepping out of the buggy without a helmet? How about the guy in the white buggy that stops , no helmets required? Are they running buggies up and down narrow trails with oncoming traffic?
