Hi guys, just testing the water to see if any users of Macs in Chiang Mai would be interested in getting together at Walen for a free seminar to get more familiar with iMovie and Final Cut Pro X. Walen is starting a film school in Bangkok soon and I thought there might be enough interested people to make it work in Chiang Mai as well.

Filmmaking is a very useful skill and these days with available tools it is much easier than in the past. Also it would be a great opportunity to get to know others who are interested in filmmaking. Perhaps we have some experienced  filmmakers also who could contribute or even run regular classes at Walen Chiang Mai ( as I am based in Bangkok).

What about starting a Walen Chiang Mai filmmakers club? Or perhaps there is already a filmmakers club in Chiang Mai (I am not aware of one) These are just some of my ideas.

Please contribute and let us know what you think. Suggestions are most welcome.

Walen School of Film - Chiang Mai branch

Hello guys, it has beed a while since I posted in CM forum.

Tomorrow at 6 pm (Monday 30th) we organize a free seminar on how to build an international educational business. If you have time please come, it will be worth your time. Only one hour so you have nothing to lose but a lot to gain. Also if you have never visited our Walen Chiang Mai school it would be a perfect occasion to see the school as well as meet our teachers and me in person. I believe we can do something wonderful together. You are welcome to bring friends along, we have 50 seats available.

Walen School - knowledge is power!

Hi guys, I have very competent Myanmar staff as well as many Myanmar students and we have an idea to start teaching some basic Myanmar conversation and also alphabet for those wishing to progress further. Not sure if there were enough interested students to join. Myanmar is opening up for business so I think there might be some interest. I have never heard of a school that would teach it in Bangkok and we might be the first one to attempt it.

I would like to propose a 60 lesson course twice a week at 5 or 7 pm. Promotion price would be only 9,900 Baht per person and we would need at least 10 candidates to start. Let me know your thoughts. Very much appreciated.

Walen School - what about learning some Burmese?

Hi Guys, tomorrow we have a party in Sukhumvit soi 15, Four Points by Sheraton hotel, 8th floor from 9 pm till late. We have many people joining, some come from as far as Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Samui and Phuket.

If you have time would be happy to see you. Tickets are only 490 Baht and you will get 4 drinks with it and also participate in a prize draw.

Walen School - we like to party!

Dear Chiang Rai residents. We are happy to inform you that Walen is working on opening a Walen School in Chiang Rai. We do not have a location there yet but one of our staff is already there and started working on it. Her name is Ann. If you studied at our Chiang Mai school you might remember her.

It may take us a few months as opening a new school is never easy and there is a mountain of paperwork to go through as well but it will be done. Our decision is a result of an incredible success of our Chiang Mai school.
