Tourist Visa Extension In Bangkok

I have a friend with a 60 day Tourist Visa and he will extend it for 30 days.

Will they do this at the immigration office in Sathorn , Soi Suan Plu?

Bad Dry Cough , Tried Everything, 19 Baht Fixed It

I had some sort of flu for the last 2 weeks , I feel better now but could not get rid of a terrible dry cough .

So I went to the local pharmacy and asked for a cough syrup , I tried several but they had no effect on me.

My coughing was the same , keeping me awake at night .

Then a Thai suggested me to buy a bottle of Brown Mixture by Tiger Medical , its sold at 7 eleven for 19 baht.  Yes 19 baht.
Its a bottle with a green label written in Thai / Chinese and a red tiger.

To my surprise I could see that the mixture contained  0.6 mg Opium !!

Anyway it worked , the cough stays away for hours and I can sleep now !

And I have wasted 500 baht on diffrernt tablets and syrup  .

Amazing Thailand.  Next time I know what to do.

Need A Chiropractor In Bangkok

I have a new back problem and I would like to visit a chiropracter in Bangkok.

I have called one clinic Dspine, but they are charging 2500 baht for first hour and then 1500 baht for the next.

I think this is more expensive than hospitals ?

I would appreciate any recommendations , thanks.

I Almost Stepped On A Snake Today Busy Sukhumvit

As I was walking down the busy soi ,Sukhumvit 101, it was a terrible thunderstorm here tonight so I had to do my walking later than normal.

So it was dark and I was in a hurry , I suddenly had a feeling something was moving and I looked down for a second and there it was a big black/yellow snake. I was less than a second from stepping on it , instead I moved quiclly away.

Well I have seen snakes before but I didnt expect it to try to be a pedestrian .

I dont know anything about snakes but would it try to bite me if I had stepped on it? I guess the answer is yes
