Try Soi Sun Wichai 14, off Ekamai.  There is a Audi, Seat, VW workshop there.

Night life is ok - the locals seem to know precisely where to go . . . and for us 'older' people the term nightlife would centre on bars and pubs, cinemas and restaurants, theatre and shows . . . and there is lots of that in KL - much, much more than in Bangkok . . . and it is in English!!!!

Nasi lemak is excellent, char koey teow or just get some fresh pork pieces on noodles or roti canai - what more can one wish for . . . and there are enough places for a Full English.

My MY friend - you must be suffering food-wise in Thailand!  A friend just opened an excellent new Peranakan restaurant in Damansara Utama . . . words fail to describe it!  Posted Image

I'm famished.

Cheers.  Is that the pub in Damansara Heights?  WIP at BSC is more my cup of tea.

As a previous poster said, if you are into cheap beer and night life, Malaysia is not the place to live in.

Having lived in Bangkok for the last 7 years, I'd prefer to live in Kuala Lumpur.  (I'm Malaysian and biased).

To my mat salleh/ farang friends, I say forget the bacon-lah, go eat some nasi lemak, roti canai and char koey teow for breakfast.  Alternatively, go to Cold Storage (supermarket) and buy some bacon and learn to cook it yourself.  It tastes a lot better than the CP crap they sell in Thailand.
