I have to head to Beijing for business at the end of the month and curious if anyone has gone through the visa process for China? (I am a US Citizen)
Can I get a visa on arival or have to do at Chinese embassy in BKK?
If you have to do at the embassy, how long does it normally take?

Re-Entry Permit
2012-04-22 08:16:34
Is the re-entry permit section still working at the airport?
If so, does anyone know if it ever closes or if it is running 24hrs a day?
I just received a call last night that my grandmother died and the funeral will be on Wed, so I need to fly out tonight at 3am. Given this no chance to go to Chang Wattana.
I am a bit worried, as this is the first time I have ever needed to get re-entry permit at the airport.

Songkran Fun For Small Kids
2012-04-03 13:12:52
I have 2 little ones... 2 1/2 and 4 1/2.
Anyone know of good place to take small children to have some Songkran fun in bangkok without having to worry about them getting hurt? (i.e. no KSR or Silom etc..)
We live in a moo baan that is a bit off the beaten path, so just standing in front of the house is not likley to be much fun for them
Not sure if this would be best here in General forum or in the family section, if moderators think it should be moved, please go ahead and do so.

Non B From Savannakhet
2012-02-13 10:52:35
Just took a look at the latest update of visas from embassies in local countries..
I did not see any thing about non-b from Savannakhet , but did not see any info on this posted?
I only saw tourist and non-o???
Has any one tried to do non-B from here?
We have just hired a new employee and he left left weekend to go to Savannakhet to arrange for his single entry non-b, so am now a bit worried on whether or not he will be able to get it here?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Is Bkk Immigration Open
2012-01-21 15:47:46
I realize that Chinese New Year is not an Official Holiday in Thailand, but many company's are closed for CNY... just curious if any one knows for sure if Immigration is Open on Mon... I need to do 90 report...
Also another similar question... Is the Department of Motor Vehicles in BKK also open?
My 90 days is up on Mon and my license expires next Sat, so would like to take care of both of these on Mon if possible, as it will be a very slow business day as many of our customers will be closed for CNY
