"Extra money"?  How so?  Switching to the combo method might allow you to get slightly better interest on that 360k baht but surely that's not enough to matter much.

Let's hope that it won't take you half a day on Tuesday, but it well might.

Sudden trips can happen, and they can happen at inconvenient times. That's why many (most?) of us purchase a single re-entry stamp at the same time we extend for another year. It's a gamble but well worth 1,000 baht.

I'm just home from Jomtien Immigration. I went 12 days early for my 90-day because of all the holiday craziness coming up. The office was busy, perhaps a 100 farang jammed in there, but the place was humming along efficiently. Two people were handling the 90-day desk, each of them taking about 1 minute per transaction. I was in & out in roughly 9 minutes.

It was easy and well worth losing the 12 days.
