What percentage of the action will you receive?

Time to negotiate for a fair share of the dough.

In Topic: Do Baht Buses Run Up And Down Third Road

Q: If there was a baht bus route added to cover 3rd road......

Would they charge 10 or 20 baht???

How much would you be willing to pay for a new route on 3rd road? More, less or the same as the other routes?

They are not dropping the TEFL courses in Pattaya. In fact, they have a new course starting next month. So, there may be some changes, but it doesn't appear to be a total business closing.
Also, I heard word that the current transitioning is due to the owners wanting to retire and move their family members into the business to run the operations in the future. This may explain the recent personnel
changes inside the organization, including some staff leaving and new ones coming in. Again, this seems more like a transition then a going out of business sign.

They will only be stopping their TEFL course in Bangkok that I know of. The last class ends this month I believe for TEFL teachers.

If true, somewhat of a sea change for the TEFL industry in Thailand given that Text and Talk is one of the oldest and most prolific courses in Thailand.

Bangkok has always been their largest TEFL operation as far as I know.

If they are dropping their TEFL classes in Bangkok and Pattaya, then I'd say it could very well be a sign of the times due to decreasing TEFL trainee numbers overall in Thailand and more and more competition for the smaller number of students interested in taking such a course in LOS.

Everyone should be armed with a video camera, streaming live to both the tourist and local police department emergency response units.

The best way to deter crime is to put their face on live video links to the authorities and online too.

That way, the world is watching these thugs and tourists can decide if they truly wish to make their next holiday in the pristine beaches of Pattaya.

In Topic: Lack Of Customer Service In The Land Of Smirks

Customer service is lacking all around. I lived in one of the LK properties and had awful service. It is a big company, so I was quite surprised with the total lack of service.

1. Receptionist tried to steal 11,000 baht upon checking in by taking the deposit money and not recording it properly on the receipt.
2. One week later, same person told me that she was single and looking for a farang boyfriend. Later, I witnessed her kissing and massaging her Thai man/boyfriend motorbike man and eating
together daily. (Entrapment, Lying and trying to take more money).
3. I was tossed out of the fitness center and told to get out rudely. This was a sister property that allows residents of other LK properties to use their facilities free of charge.

Overall, very upset with service in Thailand. But, my friend told me to lower my expectations to zero and that would help to offset any future issues. There is a feeling that the more you pay, the better the service will be.
However, in Thailand, this is not true. Don't expect better service or good service and then if you do receive good service, you will be pleasantly surprised and appreciative.
