A Message Of Thanks

2011-11-06 03:31:08

My dearest TV-CR Members, I would firstly like to say I have just got home from a drunken night on the town
after spending a few hours in the company of a very nice Bar Girl (im sure you all know what they are). Anyone married in this forum ? just asking .
I had a nice massage , oil of course , totally naked and what a great massage it was , a very happy ending followed by a good soaping .
Those of you that are shacked up somewhere and dont see the light of day , now is the time to turn your sad and uneventful lives being cooped up and reclusive into what life is all about here in Thailand , having fun.
Thats what all of you were lacking in your lives to come here in the first place and seek that extra bit of spark that you wanted so much and were'nt getting in your drab and dismal home land.
Lets all be happy again , meet up , have a beer , talk about the good old days and maybe you may get some relief with some sound conversation or from a bar girl willing you suck the life back into you .
Merry Christmas to all . :D and Jingle BALLS to you all . :D

Bird Cages And Traps

There are several places around that are selling the bamboo bird cages for about 200 baht up.
Does anyone know of a place that sells the bird traps.

Its Your Round !

The topic of alcohol seems to have some of you in derogatory frame of mind, maybe you need a top up, then maybe the insults will become happy slurs. :D

The issue of many who live here is that to enjoy the company of the lads, we have to meet in the bar. Everyone congrgates at either Ricos'bar or the more expensive option of down-town Jetyod. There are the golfers , out for 18 holes and need to sit in the bar after and discuss the pitfalls of those less able over a beer or 6. Whatever the day you will find men doing what men do , drink.
There are many reasons as to why we drink , mostly I would think just to be sociable or to drown the sorrows of what has been thrown at us throughout our lives . Many here I know drink to relieve bordom , I personally go out to drink for the company of others rather than sit alone in my house watching TV or whatever.
There are some who are more addicted than others and we know who they are , yet its not through a lack of trying to assist them to curb their drinking but all to no avail . Alcoholism is something that people around the world have problems with and here in the Rai there is no support other than fellow drinkers who add to the problem by inviting those with less will power to drink with them for company. Its a circle that will be a Round for a while .
So , for whatever reason we drink , it is of no business of others unless of course you try and aid a friend who is in need of help. Its upto us what we do I know but to put someone down for drinking in a bar and labeling others as Drunks basically puts everyone of us who drink and use bars in the same category .
Lets just enjoy the time we have , drinking or not to drink , that is our option. Didnt Shakespeare write that ? :D Maybe he liked a tipple also .

Omg The Tax Man Is Coming To Get Us

2011-11-02 12:06:51

Rumour last night in town was that several foreigners living here in Chiang Rai have been visited by 3 local tax officers.
They have demanded back taxes for transfering money from the home country to Thailand ?

Apparently they have a huge list of names , passport details , residence addresses , bank account details etc etc.
Looks like if this is true then there has been a lot of time compiling all the information about us all .
I was told its about 20% tax we would have to pay on monies brought in , so if lets say you brought in 1m Baht , the tax would be 200,000 .

Has anyone been visited or have any facts about this please .

Goodbye

I have been part of Thai-visa for a many a  year and now I have decided to say goodbye to you all.
At times it has been fun , sometimes serious and sometimes a little bit sad and sadly even though most of the threads in the past have been good spirited and well meaning and genuine, I no longer feel part of this group who live here in Chiang Rai. It is sad that so many feel that they know the place in such a short time and can help others to the full.
I wish you all good luck in living here and hope that in time you will understand what this place is , rather than bleet on about - mostly nothing.
I am relinquishing my membership and will no longer participate.
Choc-De

Sun.
