In Topic: Isaan Party?

Isaan's a big place so it all depends where you have the party, I guess. I live in Korat so I certainly would not be driving to Udon  for instance, and I would be surprised if anyone from Udon would drive down here.
I went to one of your parties in Surin and although we obviously spoke to the people we were sharing a table with, that was the extent of it....ie: each table kept to themselves and at the end of the evening my wife and I felt "was it worth travelling for".
I really think that if you are going to host these parties then more of an effort needs to be put in to integrate the participants.
Having said that I am the first to admit that I am not the best at socialising and am always the quiet one sitting on my own in a bar.....but that is what I mean in the previous sentence, I need a push to get going and I suspect many others do too.
For instance when you work for a big company and go to a training session you start the day off with some silly games or competitions. They seem stupid at first but the point is they get everybody talking, laughing and getting to know each other, and then people are far more reticent when it comes to the serious stuff.
When it comes to refreshments if there is free beer then I would drink it....if I have to pay for the beer then I would drink it also, this would have no effect on my decision whether to go or not.
Anyway you asked for opinions and thats my feelings, so I am still openminded at the moment.
Good luck.

There are 2 places you can get the boat to pp from ao nang or krabi town ao nang being the Coastal area of krabi the boat leaves ao nang at 9 in the morning ,I believe the boat from krabi town leaves in the afternoon either way you haven't got much time to look around you need to decide whether you want to spend the night in ao nang or krabi town
Thanks for your reply taninthai...when I said "look around" I really meant a look around a bit of nightlife in the evening.
I would rather be nearer to where ever we catch the earliest ferry so I guess I have to look at ao nang beach then.
Thanks again, I now know where to start.

In Topic: Bus From Swampy - Korat

Sorry angsta, I was mistaken, its an overnight bus from Udonthani that stops at Korat on the way down to the airport.
I expect if it gets there early morning then it probably returns AM as well.
Anyway I have a number if you want to check it out. The company name is "999VIP" and the phone number is 042221489. Apparently they run a 24 seat VIP bus.
Good luck.

The answer to your question is no, as such...but I believe there is a bus from the airport to Khon Kaen which calls at Korat but I dont the details.
If you can find the details of that bus then I expect it will only run once a day whereas mo-chit bus station has dozens of buses leave for Korat every hour, so that would be your best bet I reckon.
