Morgage But Cant Afford To Pay

2011-02-11 22:44:08

just a quicky

I am leaving Thailand with my wife and Child for a better education for the little man. I have had bad luck in work over the last 18 months and its not going to get better so we cant afford one here for him.
our house has been on the market for 18 months and we have not had any luck. the price is as low as we can go without still owing to the bank.

I will not be able to afford the morgage when we get back to the UK. we have talked to the bank to see there views and was told its our problem.

what is the worst case if we just go to the UK and default on payments? this is a serious question as it looks like this is our only option at the moment.

Changing Baht To Pounds And Best Flights Deals To The Uk

2011-02-10 20:35:59

HI Guys,

ive got to fly back to the UK soon, I have not gone back for 8 years so have no idea where a good deal is to be had. can anyone help out please?

I wanted to go next month around the 7th but work has asked me to stay on for 1 more month, so will probably be first week in April now. I only need a one way as I am moving back to the UK with my family, only I will go first to set things up before my family come. so if anyone knows of any good websites to get a good flight deal please let me know. I would prefer a non stop to Heathrow or Gatwick if possible please.

also, would you recomend me taking baht to the UK and changing there into pounds or changing before I leave. and should I change now or wait until I go?

cheers for the help.

thanks

Moving Back To The Uk

2011-02-05 13:01:30

Hi guys, need some help with a few questions please! I have searched through the forum but everyones problems seem to be different.

My son is 3 in two months time and I am not in the position to pay for a decent education for him. I have had bad luck in work over the last year and have now come to the conclusion that things are not going to improve in my line of work in Thailand.

at the moment I am on a very low salary and between my wife and I we bring home enough to pay the morgage, car and bills with nothing left at the end of the month. My wife needs the car for her job so no way to sell to save money. already sold mine 6 months ago.

so here is the question/s!

we have decided to try the UK, I am certain I will find work, it might not be the greatest of pay but I am sure it will be enough to get us through until I find something better.

what would be the best way to go about going home? if I were to leave Thailand in two weeks time would it be easy enough to sort out my wifes visa from the UK or should we get that all sorted before I go. I need to go first to set up work and home for us so thats why I ask.

I guess the Visa will be easy enough to obtain, we have beend married 5 years and have a 3 year old. I do not to sort out a UK passport for my son also, so will get cracking with that this week.

any advice will be much appreciated, and I will check in on the post everyday when I get a few minutes at work.

thank you

4 Wheel Drive

I've got a Fortuna Smart 4 wheel drive. Not that I need to but how do I put it in four wheel drive?

I've heard I need to do this sometimes to keep it working! Is that true?

How does the four wheel drive work?

Cheers for any help.

Going To The Bathroom

2010-11-28 22:41:50

What do you guys think of this?

when people walk in to your bar or restaurant to use the toilet but dont eat and have no intention of eating or having a drink. they walk in one will use the bathroom and the other will stand around waiting. would the other restaurant or bar owners on this forum allow this or stop it. or if you do not own one, what do you guys think?

My view on it is that they can at least order a beer, I am not a public toilet and it is my staff who have to clean up after these people.

if they want to spend a penny then they can at least spend a few baht and order a drink as well!
