I often wonder if there's an equivalent forum to TVF in the west where some Thai guy from Kalasin posts something like

" I met Lafronda, a 33 year old African American, in the local Walmart. She lives in the Marcey Projects in Brooklyn and has 6 children from 4 different fathers. She's been on welfare since she first became pregnant at 15. We've been dating for about 5 months and despite her out of control freebasing habit and the fact her brother has a meth lab in the back bedroom I feel she might be the one. What do you guys think?"

I'm constantly gobsmacked at some of the damaged goods horror stories bloke shack up with in LOS who they wouldn't touch with a 10 foot shitty stick back home.

I'm prepared to bet good money Noi from the bar looks a lot prettier (and slimmer) than Lafronda from the Marcey Projects.

What you may not realize is that to the Thais, many of the Thai girls with farangs look and behave just like Lafronda from the projects.  I think that was MCA's point.

Personally dont find people getting done over funny. Stupid, naive, indulgent even, but not funny.

I also dont find it funny when im happily having coffee some place and another westerner whos been done over due to his bad decisions, decides to give me his tale of woe...and how he used to be down on western women but now he thinks differently and wont date a thai woman again..and blah blah blah.. (failing to realise it was more likely their choice in woman, not the nationality of the woman that was the problem...)

I dunno, maybe i look like i want to hear it.

Ive ended up finding out of the way coffee shops.

I get exactly the same from Western men. Why the hell do they think Western women would be interested? What do they want? A sympathy hug?

I have just got to the point of saying "You're own fault for being stupid!" blunt and harsh truth. I wish someone would knock some sense into these kind of men!

#5318955 Bangkok High School Students Stage Hunger Strike In Protest Of Enrollment Policy

Regardless of whether they are maintaining a hunger strike or not, it is a shameful indictment on any nation when even the children and their education are subject to the relentless corruption in this country.

Any chance we could just cut the Bollox ,and just enter into the world of realism ,and  that it could be just  a simple case that  they love each other and have done so for quite some time ,long before the  guy has "made it good" big time and just leave it at that Posted Image

No Arguments Exsexyman, this is why I started posting and produced the links, but apart from the money being wasted what about the lives of the young service men ,and when Nato pulls out???
Sadly i think the lives of a lot of the military service personnel will be changed forever by their experiences, and unfortunately they can't rely on much support from the politicians who sent them there. I don't know the figures for suicides by ex servicemen returning home, but i do know they are disproportionately high compared to the national average. I remember many years ago in The UK a few years after the Falklands conflict, a survey of homeless people living on the streets showed that a large amount of Falkland veterans were among them. Some with mental health problems, many who just couldn't cope, their home and family lives just fell apart. Again, suicides amongst these veterans was high. Basically they were just left to get on with it, surely in a civilised society they were entitled to expect better. After all, they put themselves at the sharp end in service to their country. One of the many reasons i think, why politicians of all persuasions are held in contempt, rightly so in my opinion.

Some interesting reading here about the opium problem in Afghanistan. Bear in mind this is from 2006, it is far worse now.

#5309171 How Do Parents Feel When Their Son ( Or Daughter ) Is Gay

Posted khunbaobao on 2012-05-17 21:28:21

Of the people I know well enough in Thailand to discuss the topic most agree they're less likely to willingly accept homosexuality in their own children, but are much more accepting of gays otherwise.  My own personal guess would be that they feel they failed, made some mistake in child rearing or created a child with defects, but those can be common beliefs in most any country.  I'd also say they were all mistaken thoughts, too.

For a while I'd wondered if the blanket rejection of a gay child there had to do with the "Westernization" of the families involved, but that didn't seem to fit. You know - the influence of Western culture, religions and other pig-headed ignorance that passes for logical thinking within some groups.

Not many of my gay Thai friends are "out" to their families, but I'm glad that some can be.  Most are afraid of rejection, and with family being such a big part of life there I can't blame them for being skittish about it.  In a presentation I heard 20 years ago by speaker Brian McNaught he proposed that we gay people carry a secret, and that is "if you knew I was gay you wouldn't love me any more".  That's a very, very powerful fear.

If my children came to me and said they were gay I'd be so thankful that I could help share, inform, support and perhaps smooth the way for them a bit. Parents who reject their children for being gay are more than foolish, in my opinion.  I'd go so far as to say shameful, but the world is changing, little by little, so there's hope.

I think it's time for me to jump in here as a mod and remind our straight guests that insinuations that gays are not normal, are 'weak', etc. are not permitted here; they are a form of gay-bashing stereotype.  To those of you whose posts were deleted:  you clearly know little about gay people and I feel sorry for your children if any of them are gay, because you will obviously be completely taken by surprise and unprepared if they are.  Most likely if they were, they would have already learned this about you and you will probably not find out about their real lives until many years after they have left your home, if ever.  A very sad prognosis.

Neds yobs chavs....whatever other name for 'em.

Yeah I've been watching some of those reality police shows from back in the UK on youtube. Some of the smegma they have to deal with. That's one of the things I like here. I'll wander to the 7-11 of an evening and there'll be a gang of Thai lads on their blinged up Honda Waves all big earrings and spikey hair and I'm either ignored or get the occasional well intentioned for a laugh to entertain their mates "YOU!YOU"

Imagine some Asian bloke back home doing the same.

"OI you f'in caaarnt" followed by a kicking.

Scum.

My Thai step daughter is gay. When she came home with her new GF, neither her mom nor I batted an eyelash.

I would feel the same if she were my step son. Who am I to tell someone who they should or shouldn't love?

Who's fighting and fussing ??.....seems to be you guys making the fuss, not me.

I am not concerned about my son, he dislikes girls at school...which is normal for his age...he and I do boyz stuff all the time, last night we caught a rat and had 'rat races' ...he held the dog while I held the cat and then released the rat.....we nailed a dead bat to a plank the other day and put it in the sun to dry....we searched the river bed the other day at our farm and found dead dog bones and teeth...he sells them at school as tigers teeth and bones....

I used to do all that stuff and I'm as gay as a goose.

But we have strayed & I added to that......So as to the topic....Thought police or no?

As I said, if the printed material is just full of ideas or propaganda then it should be legal. But if comes with how-to instructions for killing/hurting people, and the target audience readership is well-known for trying to do just that, then it should be censored/banned/choose your label.

Question: If magazines should be allowed that detail "how to make bombs and blow up infidels", what about magazines that detail other repulsive things: "How to hang a black man", or "Raping Children and intimidating them to remain silent", or "How to tie a homosexual to your car and drive around without killing him too quickly"?

They're all words on a piece of paper. People should be prosecuted for their actions not what they think.
