When these (non)metered taxis were first announced a couple of years ago there were 27 for a trial period to see how it went. They had their licence plates numbered 1 through 27.

Although they have not been of any use to Pattaya residents as they refuse to use the meter I did notice the numbers had increased to 54.

I was shocked and surprised today when driving along Sukhumvit to see a Pattaya (non)metered taxi with number 97. And while I was wondering if there really are about 100 of these useless vehicles clogging up the roads of Pattaya, along with the 300+ useless empty songthaews around, I was passed by number 158!!

And to make it worse I spotted heading out of Pattaya number 249!

Are these vehicles still following sequential numbering? Are there really so many of these useless vehicles on the road contributing to the traffic chaos?

If so I guess the introduction of these (non)metered taxis has been a resounding success for someone, but not for the residents of Pattaya.

Got some rellies visiting next week and the missus suggested we take them to see the show.

Now I've heard the show is good and the buffet should be given a miss so I want to find out the pricing.

A search hrough Google gives me prices ranging from 500 Baht to 2,250 baht and everywhere in between so I want to ask has anyone been recently that can tell me what the 'turn up at the door' prices are (excluding buffet).

Is it dual pricing with Thai and foreigners prices? If so what's the prices comparison?

The Alangkarn website doesn't give pricing info, I've already checked there.

If I buy a netbook which has only 1 slot with 2GB of RAM in it can I remove it and install a single 4GB RAM in the slot?

The CPU is an Atom N2800 which according to Intel can handle 4GB of RAM.

Netbooks in question are Asus 1025C or CE.

Possibly Samsung NP-NC-108 although this model currently only has the N2600 which is only capable of handling 2GB RAM but they may bring out a N2800 model.

The reason I want to do this is the graphics card shares the RAM and it will have Windows 7 Starter (or Home Basic) on it so I want to have extra RAM for the graphics card to use.

Sorry if the question is stupid but so am I when it comes to computers.

I'm looking at getting a netbook and as it doesn't come with a DVD drive I was wondering if it's possible to transfer DVDs to an external drive to connect by USB and how to do it?

I'm thinking of movies that are on DVD, as well as games. Some old CD movies and games too if possible?
