Lets get real on this.

Many of the small to medium companies will just will not be able to afford to restart.

What are premiums on any insurance for next year it will be almost impossible to get.

Many that can restart will take the view If you have to buy all new machinery you might as well place it somewhere else safe.

For sure by the time all is cleaned up its the next rainy season is just around the corner.

Add in the minimum wage that was already causing conflict and the ongoing political upheaval.

Lets face it nothing this Government says can be trusted.

Some companies on the other hand have the problem that they just cannot afford to move but I cannot see Thailand as a number 1 choice for many.

The problem i have with all this now is that much of the water that is deep in some areas is just not flowing.

This is where stagnation and disease is going to thrive in.

Yes i know its a lot about land heigh and basins.

When we had to land fill we were told to build a meter below the road height which we did.

Many people do not respect this and we see land filled well above road height.

The same is with all the dams big and small  built to hold the water in these now need to be taken down in a calculated method to get water flowing and out.

If this is not done well who knows.

The amount of sand in drains will also be a nightmare.

I hope this advise is good.

If your in a risk zone listen to the drains on a regular basis if you hear heavy water flow above normal best get ready.

Strong plastic sheeting is best held in place with sandbags at the bottom to stop water getting under and if you can nail it to door frames  or walls by wooden baton on the top of it.

Low level toilets fill plastic bag with sand and plug.

Fill anything you can up with water and put up high.

Charge all phones and laptops when you can.

As soon as the water comes hit the electric off as first priority death by electrocution is a very very big risk during and after flood.

Help others.

Not rocket science follow the locals especially the elder ones.
