Does Honda Extend Warranty To Second Hand Bikes?

2012-03-16 17:15:22

We bought a second hand Honda 125 that is less than a year old and the battery had died. Will Honda cover things like this under warranty or does the warranty only apply to the first owner for these small bikes?

My friend bought a used CBR250 that was a few months old and the warranty was transferred to the new owner, but maybe small bikes are different?

My Dad has asked Yamaha about his small second hand Mio but they said its not covered, although I wouldn't be surprised if Honda had a different policy.

Shipping A Motorcyle From Chiang Mai To Bangkok

2012-02-29 20:53:44

Can anyone recommend a shipping company for moving a motorcycle (XR250 dirtbike) from Chiang Mai to Bangkok? The post office isn't convenient since it needs to be delivered right to a home, and the post office needs it to be picked up at the post office which doesn't work for the receiver.

Somebody previously mentioned Trac Transport and said that they are good for moving bikes. I can not find any info about them online though. Does anyone know of them or have a contact number for them? Thanks for any info!

Iphone Batteries Replaced In Thailand Any Good?

2012-01-28 15:18:12

I need a new battery for my iPhone 3GS. I am considering either having it replaced here, or ordering one from OWC but I worry about how much the import fees will be. If the batteries the shops use here are as good, it would obviously be more convenient to just have them do the swap for me. Surely the OWC batteries come from China just as the Thai ones do but the qualities could still be different.

From what I've heard, its about 1000b in Thailand but do they have a long life anything comparable to the originals? I know that the cheap Nokia replacement batteries are useless but they are considerably cheaper than these!

Ranong Visa Run Updates?

2011-11-30 18:15:10

I used a visa run service in Ranong about 6 years ago to take the boat to Victory Point (Island) to get a 30 day visa exemption.  I now live in Chiang Mai but I am going South with visiting family and they will need to do a visa run. Of course they will only get 15 days now, but that's long enough anyways.

-Have there been any major changes I should know about?

-Can anybody recommend a particular visa run service located in Ranong?

-How long does the whole process typically take?

-How much do these services cost?

Again, we will be staying in Ranong already so we don't need a service from Phuket or anything, just a local one. Thanks a lot for any help!

Where Is Laddaland In Chiang Mai

2011-08-16 20:46:21

Saw a Thai scary movie called Laddaland (Ladda Land) and it was apparently "loosely" based on a true story. In any case, the moo baan Laddaland is supposed to be a real abandoned place in Chiang Mai and I thought it would be interesting to check out. Anyone have any idea where it is?
