There are a few places but I don't think many are sold due to their high price....a high price caused by the high import/luxury tax placed on them by the Thai govt.  So, fake ones are sold instead.

They were touring the countryside. Air Asia doesn't offer that advantage.  Yes, some responsibility rests with the victims, but they were normal kids and I'm sure their parents spoke to them about safety.  It's not as if they were  using some  crappy tuk tuk. They did the responsible thing and did what most tourists that age do and used what they expected would be a safe reliable big coach.

Don't be so insensitive and cruel. Look at that kid's image again and think about it. Those were anybody's kids and decent  ones at that.

How compassionate.

Flying from one major city to another and staying in five star hotels is not the sort of trip young kids like this are looking for, they want to explore the country, can't do that from a leather arm chair holding a brandy and a cigar.

There should be travel advisories explaining the dangers of all road travel here, but an advisory will not stop an accident happening, only the Thai authorities can do that.

Do you know what a spastic is? It is a person, often a very young child with a medical condition caused by spasticity and is also used to refer to people suffering from Cerebral Palsy. The people who suffer from the condition...many many children, have no control of the disease and whilst physically deformed by a cruel twist of fate they are as mentally acute as any of us, if not, more acute, Stephen Hawking being a point in case.

Your comment is far far more offensive than anyone wearing a swastika ear ring and bears testimony to someone displaying minimal intelligence and a bigotry far greater than someone wearing 'fashion jewellery'. I asked my Tilac, who is a cashier/bartender at a local pub, whether they would be closed. She asked me why and I explained that it was due to the funeral of HRH Princess Bejaratana. Her response was "who?"  This is not that big of a deal for most Thais!
