Recommendation For Family Room Rent In Pattaya Area

2012-03-03 11:58:42

We're going down to Pattaya area this month from Chiang Mai by car. There'll be 8 or 9 of us and I would like any recommendations for a place to stay. Some quietish place out of town would be best. You get these typical Thai resort places, Thai owned, just a simple room with a place to park your car, but I can't think of any in Pattaya. Thanks

15 Months From A One Year Non O Immigration Visa?

2012-02-16 12:32:02

I am pretty sure this is the case, but if I go with my wife (Filipina) to Laos on the last day of her Non O one year visa, will she get another 90 days in Mae Sai? We need some breathing space as she is pregnant and after the baby is born we will either go to Savvanakhet to get hopefully another Non O for her, or I get a retirement visa and stick her on that. I have a 16 year old Thai son at International school who is dependent on us so we should get one on that basis. The last Non O she got was no problem as we were in the UK.  Also, another question... what happens with our baby, born end August (UK passport, no problem there) as far as Thai visas are concerned? He/she will be born in Thailand. Probably the best idea is that I get a retirement visa and stick 'em all on that, but the baby obviously won't have a Non O in his bright shiny UK visa, so not so sure what will happen. If we leave the country and go to Savvanakhet then there is no Thai visa in his/her passport to get out of Thailand. Thanks.

Uk Residence Rights For Married Filipinas In Thailand

2012-01-18 08:36:30

I am living in a condo in Thailand with my filipina wife. we're having a kid soon and I am wondering..  if I should die what right will they have of getting into the UK? I guess without any rights, they would have to head back to the Philippines and our kid grows up there. Terrible thought. I guess the only alternative is for me to go back to the UK and get a settlement visa but that obviously entails staying there for most of the time.. in what 2 years? 5 years? .. before she has a permanent visa. I am not so sure if we can go back and have the child born in UK this summer or of that would help her case...  we were there last summer and although she seemingly has no rights to the NHS, she used it without a problem. I was told by the receptionist that they never refuse anyone. all we had to do was fill in a small form which I am sure would have been stuck in the bin when we left.
I'd be grateful for any advice on this.

European Economic Area Family Visa

2010-12-19 13:32:21

I have a Filipina wife in Thailand.  We are planning a trip to the UK soon (I am a citizen) and also to France and Belgium. I know about the Shengen visa, but I see there is a "European Economic Area family" visa and I wondered if this way round applying for a Shengen visa together with an application for a UK visa. I gather that I can apply for my Filipina wife in Thailand without having to return to her country.
